My dad was born in 1924. He lived with his grandparents at age 3 years. Well, grandma was not going to help while she was busy canning and such. She used him to scrape and wash veggies before canning. At 5, she had him slicing carrots, corn, etc for canning. Both he and his younger brother learned to can, sew, mend, dry, smoking from her. There is no reason why boys should not know life skills. Both my dad and uncle taught their wives how to can. I learned from dad too.

That was so much fun to watch!! Thank you. Loved watching the family interact at dinner. I fermented garlic in honey as you showed. I see that yours has the same sort of thin whitish rim around the top. My jar has the same. I'm thinking that's nothing to be worried about then. As a precaution I placed the jar in the refrigerator when the rim appeared. But I will put it back on the counter seeing that yours is there as well. Now I'm waiting for your instructions how to use it. :) Wishing you a lovely week.

Ruth Ann, I so look forward to your videos and seeing your children - especially the boys. You can tell that they all love you so much. I would love to be your neighbor but I'm afraid that I would be at your house more than mine! My children (twins, 37), unfortunately, live vicariously by the world views and have rejected me. I don't think either one of them are happy. You bring hope to parents of younger children with your teaching. Thank you for all that you do! Bless you and may the Lord keep you and your family in good health and happiness! I would love to have had your life, lol lol. Elaine, 70.
@cynthiafisher99072 ай бұрын
God bless you, Elaine! I’m so sorry your children have rejected you, you are right, it is because of the ways of the world these days. The devil is behind it. My sister’s middle child totally rejected and cut off the whole family and some of my children seem to be on the verge of doing the same sometimes. We need to pray, pray, pray! We do not want their souls to be lost, that is the most important thing. God can do a work in their hearts, we need to have faith and trust Him to deal with them. I hope you can “mother” some other you get people while you pray and wait.

Anyway, he never uses any tools - only his hands. Even when cutting the grid he uses his finger. He says there’s no wrong way but that’s how generations before him did it so he does too. And not only that, he loves the way it feels on his hands! Have a great day Ruthann!
