Excellent portrayals of Poseidon and Odysseus, especially with how Poseidon’s attempts on Odysseus’s life. The fact Odysseus is knocked out while the rest of the crew is drowned/dragged then, followed by checking to see the remaining crew is okay. This my be my favorite “All I gotta do is open this bag” piece of animatic. Talk about “ In your face, Poseidon”.

to be honest him being hopeless and being bullied makes more sense poseidon is 1 of three main gods of greek, lord of seas and if we take roman mythology even god og earthquakes. (neptune). No way a mere mortal could hope to contact him and survive even an instance. In reality poseidon would kill him by accident as he touch him forget bullying. but I guess this looks cooler... like those legendery epics that mortals outsmarting gods and beating them. So in a way serves good?

This is amazing! I literally can't pick which detail is my favorite. There are so many good things from the movements, Odysseus actually fighting Poseidon for a moment, him telling the men on his ship to hide, the anchor, Poseidon handling the ships like a violent kid with bath toys! Its all amazing! You did an absolutely fantastic job!

the idea that Poseidon is talking to the crew when he says ruthlessness is mercy upon ourselves, while he’s trying to drown Odysseus and they’re trying to save him is great As if telling the men had they left odysseus to his fate Poseidon might’ve spared the crew. Ruthlessness is a mercy upon ourselves “abandon your captain and go home” And then in thunderbringer the roles are reversed and Odysseus leaves them to their fate. Ruthlessness is mercy upon himself. “Abandon your crew and survive”

Lovely animatic! I love how at the start after "do you know who i am" we can hesr the waves clashing and you actually shoewed that part. I know itd meaningless in the big picture but that really hoghlighted this animatic amongst others from the get go. I also loved how he aproached the ship, the eater litterly going sideways from his steps felt really strong (altho probably would feel even better if the water going up was shown not at its nesr peak hight but somewhere along midway, the size of it would feel more drastic then), and i really loved how at the "i try to chill with the waves) he kind of lies down on the wave and his hand does a cirle movement coming to be holding the trident right at us, that felt really smooth and satisfying (i audibly said "oh wow" at that) and the little pose at the "iv been so gracious" made me giggle i really loved that too and needles to say aince it was already done by everyone, good to see Odysseus having a chance to fight off for a moment for once, (i literally said "oh wow that's new" on the first watch), and also since there's barely any water controll magic going on in here oposed to what you usually see in animatics, the oart where poseidon is big and sinking them to me looks like a todler playing in the water with toys which i find absolutely hilarious, and as an artist myself i cannot simply ignore the one and only actually mattering thing in here. YOU DRAW HANDS SO FUCKING GOOD THEY LOOK SO ELEGANT IN THE CLOSEUPS Y0U ARE SO GOOD I FUVKING LOVE THEM.

I'll be honest I've seen a lot of people focusing on the fact that horses are part of his portfolio (which is part of the reason he was pissed at Odysseus *_BEFORE_* the whole Polyphemus thing, as Troy was a major center of his worship which is _WHY_ horses were so important to him,) but I think this is the first one I've noticed where Poseidon's design focuses on the fact that he explicitly refers to himself as "The Shark" in the lyrics to such a degree as is seen here. It's a nice change of pace, and I think it works _REALLY_ well

Yo, not Poseidon just chillin on the side of the ship when he's done killing everyone x'D amazing. I also like that Ody was knocked out for that part because I feel like his delivery of "what have you done?" suggests that he was at least distracted/busy during that. 0:44 Ok I know this has nothing to do with the animatic (great work though btw, I loved how Poseidon got *big* when he got more serious after toying with Odysseus for a bit, and how he creates the waves manually- it gives a sense that this isn’t just someone with superpowers but a *God* that they are dealing with) but the line “it isn’t very often that I get pissed off” low key ticks me off so much because if Poseidon isn’t horny, then 95% of the time he’s pissed off for one reason or another- he is the God of the Sea after all, and the Ocean is treacherous.

My favorite part of ruthlessness animatics is seeing what new ways people come up with to have Poseidon fucking with Ody while he toys with him, attaching an anchor to him and throwing it overboard is new and very fun. Plus it's the first animatic I've seen where Odysseus actually fights back at all, which is neat! Great job.

Which also explains why Poseidon left his crew to kill last cause he was waiting for Ody to wake up before slaughtering them to deliver more pain. The vibes??? Are so different? From any other ruthlessness animatic. It’s almost more lighthearted??? But that DOESN’T MAKE IT BETTER?!! The bits where they fight? The emphasis on his crew?! 🥲🥲Eurylochus pulling him up? Poseidons toga/lower design would work very well as a stage costume. Easy to move in/make, but still conveys the idea of a kraken lower half. Are you doing a thunder bringer/mutiny animatic? I think you would do a lovely and unique one.

It was incredible! But just imagine Poseidon chilling on the boat waiting for Ody to get up and after that continue the terror. Like what if Ody was out for half a day. Everybody on the ship is hiding and confused while Poseidon who just stoped everything, is sunbathing on the boat sometimes flicking away his hair to look badass waiting for Ody gets up.
