I absolutely love how you got creatively sadistic with Poseidon's powers here, creating a massive water Polyphemus, drowning Ody inside his watery form, and even bloodbending Ody. That and the Laestrygonians destroying the fleet to go closer to the original epic are awesome touches, and I love how creepy and evil you made the giants look. Definitely one of the most creative interpretations!

i LOVE poseidons chilled laidback expressions that shift between 'im chillin' to 'yeah im gonna have fun with this'. the subtle laestrygonians !! i love how intimidating they are. I love how much fun ur having with the flash frames and the BLOODBENDING is SO fun But i am OBSESSED with the scale of the water cyclops and how you frame a lot of the shots around it it feels REALLY cohesive and the shot of odysseus peering into the reflection is SO fun TRADITION CONTINUES POSEIDON KICKS ODYSSEUS' ASS HIMSELF the use of shadows as well is SO NICE and i think you REALLY out did yourself !! ALL OF YOUR WIDE SHOTS ARE SO FUN but so are all of the close intimate shots!!! also . Wholly approve of removing the intensity squiggles around the fleet drowning shots

Wow. Just wow. This is personal. The water Polyphemus is terrifying. Poseidon uses his other offsprings, the laestrygonians, to brutally murder and totally destroy Odysseus' fleet. His grandchildren are avening his son while the water shaped into his son holds Odysseus' ship. Poseidon doesn't care about the fleet. They're just soldiers who follow orders. The laestrygonians can have them. But the one who gave the order to stab his son in the eye is Odysseus. And Poseidon must personally make sure that he dies after witnessing his whole fleet get destroyed. All in all, this is extremely underrated.

You are the first to make the Lestrygonians destroy the fleet, but I would still add Poseidon, using his powers to destroy some of the fleet because you can actually hear the waves in the audio of the song during the carnage sequence. But I shouldn’t complain. I’m just glad that Lestrygonians are included in the first place. Great job!

I like a lot about this. As some mentioned, you incorporated the giants wich is awesome. Also i really like this design dor poseidon. Really creative and cruel touch is also that he summons the cyclops made of water to taunt ody and his men even more. Thats genius. That way the giants also see wich ship to spare. Additionally i love the scene where you see the men drowning reach up their hands. Its the perfect connection for your underworld animatic. Not sure if that came after the fact, or if you planned it out like that. Its awesome nevertheless 🥳

I like the use of the Laestrygonians partially because as descendants of a son of Poseidon they probably would be willing to help him. It's more accurate than other takes and the juxtaposition of the Poseidon song replacing the giants and you basically reintroducing them as working with Poseidon is just made more perfect by that.
