I switched to using a merv 6 filter on the AC. It keeps a lot of the dirt from getting to the coils.

Any filter is way better than no filter.

Im kinda worried to spray the stuff up there. Can i damage anything if it gets on other parts? I take mine to the beach alot too, so do you think the outer coil needs a cleaning?

Don’t go crazy with the coil cleaner, but don’t clean anything that is not dirty.

Hey Kenny after cleaning that coil would you go up on the roof after and clean the back side of the ac or is that sufficient enough thanks

The dirt and dust comes from inside the camper so cleaning the inside of the coils will get most of it. This was probably run without a filter for quite a while at some point. It had a new filter in it when I got there. The furnace was filthy too. Previous owner probably had pets. These people only bought it a few months ago.

thanks for your informative info : i have a compressor that when i put my meter on Continuity and put my leads on com or fan and on the cooper tube it beep…. what does that mean

Not sure. I don't believe I have ever done that.

I know this is 2 years too late but to anyone wondering, the compressor has shorted to ground. Essentially on these it means a new unit
