We had the same leveler fail on our Montana. We also were having problems with a slide ram. Montana covered all the parts and labor, including several hoses that the dealer said were iffy. We’ve had the trailer for 3 years. Was impressed.

Add some fork oil to your hydraulic reservoir to help with stiction. That suttering that you see sometimes can be helped with reducing the stiction.

When you open a storage area I saw you had the same filter system I bought- Blu tech. Does it work well enough that you feel safe drinking the water from your tank and brushing your teeth? Do you do anything else besides that? I plan to use a prefilter (basic sediment with charcoal filter) to reduce wear and tear on it too.

We brush our teeth, but don't drink the water directly from the RV.

I have changed my front jacks, same model. I would of worked the hydraulic oil throughout the entire system. Went to tow mode and then all back down. Get that air out. You don't want it to bump like that with weight on it.

I have T-Mobile home internet and we are full time. I just checked on my monthly usage for 2 phones and the home internet and it has been less than 300GB a month for the past 6 months. We have 2 devices online all the time, plus 2 tv's streaming a lot of stuff. The $90 plan would work for that, though for an extra $10, 450GB should be more than enough. Our T-Mobile has only let us down 3 or 4 times so far in the past 6 months but if it should become a bigger issue then this is a good alternative.

Ours failed at about 2+ years into our ownership, and lippert covered it. By the time it was repaired, we were a little over 3 years of ownership. It was an expensive ordeal. Good luck...

Is it just me or does it seem as though larger RV's, particularly travel trailers and 5th wheels, seem to have a lot more problems. Then again, I guess the more "stuff" that is installed the greater the possibility that something breaks.

Also keep in mind that he is fulltime living in that rv. 1 month of use for Tom is more use than my toyhauler sees in a year

@@Mike-mk7sf Great point! Although we are not full time, we use our rig extensively. Fortunately, we have not experienced any major mechanical failures during the time we have owned it (our biggest issue was a tire blowout and that turned out to be relatively minor). Then again, I do tons of preventive maintenance. We just returned from a 13,000 mile road trip with no major issues, thankfully!

Grand Design is one of the worst if not the worst RV on the market today and Lippert shouldn't be in business anymore but hopefully there will be a class action lawsuit in their future. Trust me people RUN dont walk away from any Grand Design product.
