So sorry about the theft. About 4 weeks ago we camped at Fort Yargo State Park in Windner, Georgia and while we took our dog to UGA Veterinarian College for her appointment our yard mat and water hose with it's filter and attachments were stolen. Our name and dates of our reservation were clipped to the site post while we were gone for 3 hours for all to see. The yard mat was staked down and the hose was coiled up and attached to the spigot while we were gone, we have done it this way for our day trips for years and never had a problem before, we have a Class C motorhome. It cost us $170 to replace it all with the same quality. It's very sickening now how low a thief will stoop to steal what another man worked for.

It really sucks getting stuff stolen. The weirdest thing I have ever had stolen happened when thieves broke into my supposedly secure storage locker in Drayton Valley, Alberta. I had someone who stole the gas out of my generator when we left for an hour and and half we know who did it she was mad that we were running it at 7pm the night before. The funny thing about it is she didn't take the rest of the gas in the gas cans that were chained to the generator. So I filled it back up and started it up she left the campground about 7 that night. I should've left it running on propane, and she wouldn't have figured it out.

orange, pink and blue spray paint is your friend. Anything such a sewer hose, power cables, etc are spray painted so if someone swipes something, it is easy to identify. Had someone take a 5 gallon jerry can off the truck and reported it to campground manager. One of his cleaning crew spotted it. Individual claimed it was his, but in addition to having propane tanks and more painted the same, our name was spray stenciled on the bottom. Manager called the cops, the "borrower" claimed it was his, cop looked on the bottom for our name and gifted the "borrower" with a bright pair of wrist jewelry. Turns out the value of the fuel and cost of the jerry can made the theft a felony. Got the jerry can back (still had the fuel). And the icing on the cake was it was full of diesel, the thief's truck had a gas engine.

A chain with a couple of padlocks might discourage someone from taking your power cord. Also, a security camera recording the area might discourage someone from stealing as well. Sorry for your loss, sir. If you can afford such a fine RV, maybe you should consider investing in the installation of a security system to monitor the entire perimeter of your RV when you and your wife are away from the campsite. Infrared, wireless, perimeter security sensors can be configured for any size campsite. When triggered at night while sleeping, LED strobe lights could be triggered to disorient the perpetrator, animal or otherwise. To complete the surprise that awaits the perpetrator, consider an audio recording via speakers below the RV blaring out: " I gotta get out of here" Dwight Frye, by Alice C. Allow other campers to witness a test demonstration of your security system before you retire in the evening. " Last time I checked, sewerage does not flow uphill.

Hey Guys.. Sorry for your loss. But, I have yet to see why anyone runs the water or sewer hose out and leaves them hooked up. The electric line is the only thing I hook up when I first park at a Park or Campground, I use my onboard water until I need to refill it and then put the hose up afterwards. The same goes with the sewer hose. I use and fill the grey and black tanks until it needs emptying. Then hook up and empty them. Then put the hoses up. If everyone else did this, maybe no one would smell each other's sewer. See Ya later..

A couple of years ago I took my fifth wheel to a local (to home) RV dealer for some minor maintenance and winterization prior to storing for the winter. Usually take it to the dealer where I purchased it, but being 4 hrs away in another state I figure it was not worth the long trip. So…when I pulled it out of storage the next season, I discovered the “local” dealer that I paid to winterize, didn’t. I had a busted toilet valve and couple of frozen, leaky connections when I hooked up water. Needless to say, I was kinda miffed, HOWEVER, when I opened the storage compartment I found a “gift,” a rather newish 25’ 50 amp power cord. Having priced those before, I let the fact that I paid for winterization they didn’t do and later replaced a valve and few connections as a fair trade, so I kept the cord and have never been back. So I guess the theft of services and parts by the dealer was replaced by payment in kind of spare power cable 😂. BTW, I do my own winterization now, much much cheaper AND I know it’s actually done.

Did someone run over the good one and try to replace it without you noticing ?
