It's pronounced Ass-a-teague, I live near here and walk the beach every day weather pending , the horses will bite and people in the past have fed them and they have died from eating garbage. When you don't have the chance to run the generator like you did you can situate an enclosure of plywood around all four sides of it so the sound it only going up in the air.

It really is great! But yes you do pay for your site at both parks along with an entry fee at the national park.
