The man and woman at the end of the video made another good point. Propane bottles are heavy when full. I would always like to have propane as an option, but for now electric would be more practical and cost efffective for me.

I believe the sound man was also the same person who packaged those boxes.

Propane is heavy, particularly when it needs to be placed in a place that may not be easy to get to. However there are systems where you can fill up on LPG at a petrol station.

I read this products information even read it again in trailer life magazineand you have to consider a few things. 1st off, if you are not on a meter for your electric its a good deal. I know how to do wiring on heating systems and this product is very user friendly as far as hooking up to your furnace so for me when I hook this to my unit I myself can by pass paying someone to install it.. Yea you can use space heaters if you want them free standing in your unit. But remember this is engineered to be safe to run with all it safe faults built in so when YOU SLEEP you don't have to worry of a fire or something happening by accident. Plus its hooked into units thermostat so once the temp gets to a comfortable level the unit shuts down. In my case I have a C class 28 ft with propane tank attached to chassis of Camper so I can just take the tanks for a ride to be refilled unless I drive the whole camper there. I don't really want to have small electric heaters on all around me. So you need to consider the whole package of convenience this also offers to some. Now I cant see how any electrician or Rv dealer charging more then 500 to install this, its not that big a job to do, but at the same time some dealers will get you as much as they can. I think this is a solid safe good product and offers a safe alternative to an electric heat source without space heaters plugged in your camper on the floor. I only need 30 amps to heat my living space but the system offers you up to 50amp for a bigger unit. I adding this soon to my unit for me it makes lots of sense to me.

Also this electric heat costs what it cost to run you AC in warm weather so a campground usually adds that cost per site per night into its cost if you not metered so your only getting what you pay for anyway.

I don't travel in my RV. I live in it, so I would still have to lift and carry my bottles which I believe are called 30lb bottles even though they weigh more than that when they are full.

Yes, this IS a big deal! Right now my propane furnace is not working and I would love to be able to switch to electric at least until I figure out what's going on with the propane. Also my lot rent includes unlimited electricty so why wouldn't a person want to use electric when they can? Options are always good! :)

I think this is a very nice system. Even-though I have both propane and two heat pumps on the roof, I would rather use this system then the LOUD heat pumps on the roof.

+Mark Cole If you just get smart and go to Home Depot you can get 3 of the 600 watt kick plate heaters that mount at the bottom of walls, cabinets or where you want them. They are very small, use near no power. They take up little space, use 1/3 the power and heat amazingly well with all built in safety. Total cost for it all to go into a 35 foot RV and a thermostat was under $200

I wonder if all the burns on his arms is from developing this unit...

It is always better to have options... but I suspect that if this becomes popular then unlimited electricity at the camp site will become a thing of the past.

It seems like a reasonable system. But, I would point out that you don't know how "green" it is. If you're getting your electricity from a coal fired power plant, it's not reducing your carbon footprint. Of course, the same can be said of a brand new Tesla.

Big deal. If you're paying a flat rate for hook-ups for the night and need a bit of heat, you'll save on your propane consumption, which is still not to say that this installation is worth it. Just that the "cost of heating" is irrelevant.
