The Edge Pulsar Inline Tuning Module is the latest tuning innovation for your naturally-aspirated RAM truck. This tuning module works as an extra PCM. Specifically, it provides your truck with the benefits of a basic handheld tuner without the hassle of unlocking your PCM. Furthermore, it utilizes your in-dash gear indicator as its display and uses steering wheel cruise control to adjust levels for instant performance changes. Indeed, this module doesn’t alter your stock PCM in any way, so all you have to do is remove the unit prior to a visit to your dealership.
Practical Fuel Economy. Besides improving performance, this inline tuning module also comes with settings for fuel economy. This gives you practical savings at the pump. With the fuel economy settings, you get to save on some of your hard-earned cash. In fact, before long this module will be paying for itself.
Unique Design. This tuning module features 2 standard PCM connectors on either side of the unit. This allows the module to connect to your stock PCM, piggyback-style. This design eliminates the need for potentially cumbersome wiring, as the only wiring used is all factory-ready. What’s more, this component is manufactured from high-grade alloy and automotive-grade plastic, ensuring it can withstand engine bay heat.
Eight Levels of Performance. The Pulsar tuning module offers tunes for stock, fuel economy, towing, and performance. These four tunes can then be configured with your RAM’s MDS turned on or off. This brings the total levels of performance to 8, ensuring you can find one that’s just right for your needs

Just a quick question. Are you still able to set cruise control without changing the mode or how does that work?

Thanks for reaching out, yes, I have had no problem setting the cruise control. You cannot change the driving mode while cruise control is on, but that's the only real limiting factor.

Scrolled through the video list and didn’t see one on your truck’s overall setup and towing performance with the Outback. We are considering basically the same truck/trailer combo so would appreciate knowing your good/bad experience and lessons.

Aaron, thanks so much for watching and reaching out. We have had this setup since we hit the road in 2020 and it has been great for us. We are averaging about 9mpg towing so hoping this upgrade might give us a bit more. Will do a video wiith updates once we have had a chance to have a good testing. I can say that I am getting about 16-17 in eco without the trailer and I would normally get about 12-14 so happy with that so far. The ram has been great with towing the 240urs. We have weighed the camper several times over the years and typically it is weighing in about 6600-6800 fully loaded. There have been a couple times that we in the BIG mountains of Colorado that we could have used a bit more power but that occured on maybe 1 or 2 occasions in two years. No need for a bigger truck for just a couple occurences. If you have any specific questions we would love to answer them for you.

Thanks so much for the reply. We are transitioning from a truck camper + tow-behind setup since the family has grown. The 240URS gives me an office separate from the rest of the rig so I can take meetings without our son photo-bombing too often - plus the garage can serve as his bedroom so that we can be at the dinette/couch in the evening after he goes to bed. RE the truck, it sounds like the half-ton is able to control the trailer pretty well? Do you use a weight-distributing hitch? Airbags to level it out? We currently have a one-ton diesel that clips along like our gear isn’t even back there, but it’s expensive to run and repair (almost 200k miles now) so I am looking for something different.

@@aaroneverett9162 You are absolutely correct. The garage gives you so many options that's why we love it. Extra storage for you guys then also an extra bedroom. Since we have the ram rebel it comes with factory airbag system so it levels it out really well. But we still use a weight distribution hitch. We use the equalizer and have had great success with it.

Do you have to run premium fuel with performance or can just run regular gas.

No, you can run 87 octane if that's what your vehicle normally would run on. It's still been running great even over the last year since we installed it. Highly recommend it and it's really great being able to save some gas but also have some extra horsepower when needed 🙂

It's been working great for us, yes, so far it's been keeping MDS off when needed. It's really nice having the option to either have it in whatever mode along with MDS. Primarily we use it in eco with MDS on or in tow mode with MDS on to still try to save some MPG

Jason, no problem. We like off topic discussions. So we travel full time and have four cats that we travel with. When we first hit the road one of them really like to climb up by my feet while I was driving so we had to find a way to keep them in the back seat. It's called the bushwacker and it's designed primarily for keeping dogs in the back seat, but my wife sits back there on travel days with our cats to keep them company. They seem to be a lot calmer.- Kyle
