You need to look into the TSD or TCS fuel card. You can save on every gallon of diesel you pump; of course, you have to get it from the truck stops, like TA/Petro. You go to the trucker pumps to make your purchase. There are several videos on the TSD card and FMCA for TCS card. The TSD draws directly from your bank account and the TCS card you load the money onto the card. For instance, I saved $282.10 in 12 fill-ups with the TCS card.

Thanks for the great tips! We LOVE finding cheap gas! There are so many cards that only save you about 10 cents. The EFS Card (TSD) has huge savings across many different truck stops. Love it. Thanks again and all the best, Lee

We love Aldi for the low-cost shopping. It has been proven to the be the best deal when it comes to savings. The catch....you have to have a quarter to unlock the shopping carts. Great advice for full time RVers to get a Fire/Waterproof Safe. As an extra step make photo copies of important documents and have them at a family members house or bank safe box. Especially your INS documents, passport and drivers license numbers. We got ours at Walmart. It’s like a small file box.

Thanks Jim! Great tips! The safe doesn't guarantee anything, but it's a LOT better than having them in a drawer or under the bed. LOL. We have met so many people that have experienced the worst and they all say the same thing... How hard it was to get everything back to normal without their documents. Photo copies stored online is a must! Thanks again. Pam and Lee.

Great cheap lunch but Costco in California you need to show your membership card to buy hot dogs and such
@discoveryboundrv2 жыл бұрын
Thanks Jeff! That's so crazy. $1.50 hot dogs are almost non-existent anywhere else. We went to a local high school football game and the concession stand was selling them for $4.00 and they were half the size. LOL. We still walk out of Costco with hundreds of dollars of stuff though. They got us with the hot dogs..... :)

Hi Dave! Thanks for the support. Actually, we don't have enough people on our channel to hear that all the time. LOL. (kidding) Believe it or not, we aren't really focused on growing the channel. We are probably the worst at "YouTubing" and we actually do things that make the "KZbin algorithm" suppress our reach, Like not saying "Follow Our Channel", "Like & Subscribe", having too much music, etc. Totally not us. Our focus is aimed at sharing with the RV Community and hopefully we are getting a little better at our video editing. You need TSD Open Roads fuel program / EFS diesel fuel card
@discoveryboundrv2 жыл бұрын
Hi Darryl, Great tip! We got the EFS card early on. It’s a definite MUST HAVE for any RVer. Fuel in town is normally cheaper than the truck stops near the interstate. The station we went to had the cheapest fuel in town and EFS didn’t save us any more. This video was recorded in March so we are a little behind. It went way up right after that.

Just curious about the circuit bd, whether or not it fixed the furnace. This youtuber...'My RV Works, inc.'....has some very good instuctionsl vids on furnaces and other RV appliances. He's helped me a lot.

It did indeed. All we did was swap out the circuit boards and it fired right up like a champ. It's been working great ever since as well. We knew it had to be the board, because everything else checked good with the multimeter. My RV Works is fantastic!! I have learned a few tricks myself from watching his videos. Diesel prices are nuts 🥜 n how is your truck on fuel ⛽️
@kevinherm30362 жыл бұрын
You really haven't mentioned it but what about the maintenance on Maximus? Are you doing your own oil and filter changes, fuel filter changes, getting your tires rotated? You can save so much money doing most of the maintenance yourself. There are some upgrades that you do need to make though. You can also get a 68-70 gallon fuel tank to replace your stock 50 gal tank too if that is more feasible rather than losing your truck bed to a large fuel tank/tool box combo. A great channel for you to watch is kzbin.info/www/bejne/jovbf32Ha7t8i9k and the video is about a fuel filter upgrade for your 6.7 powerstroke and he also has a video about adding the disaster prevention kit for your CP4 fuel pump. kzbin.info. He gives you some great information for keeping your vehicle serviced as well.
@discoveryboundrv2 жыл бұрын
Hi Kevin, amazing info and thanks for the references. Much appreciated! We service Maximus every 5k miles with both oil servicing and fuel filter changes. It’s excessive, but since we tow full time it’s worth it in the long run. I will be changing the cabin air filter myself in a future video coming up. As for the truck mods…we would LOVE to incorporate each one of them but they are still on our wish list. The fuel tank replacement is probably the best all around mod that is the most beneficial. We will definitely look into doing that soon. Thanks again for the great tips and all the best! Lee
@kevinherm30362 жыл бұрын
@@discoveryboundrv Always much cheaper to re-fill your propane tanks rather than exchange them too! Yes, 5k is overkill if you are using a good synthetic oil like Rotella T6 or Amsoil. Watch some of the RV transport videos--most are going 10k and doing fuel filters every 20k to 30k. They always have extra fuel filters with them too so if they get into some bad diesel causing a problem, they can correct the issue quickly. A set of Ford filters are around $83 (fuel and Oil) from autozone and if you are having a Ford dealer change all of that, lots of $$ like $350 to $400 or more but then they like that easy work! We have a 2022 Keystone Raptor 352 and a 2020 F350 (Black Rain--she's black and every time I wash her it rains so the name and with air bags too! LOL!) to tote it with. Perhaps we'll see you on the road sometime. Not full time but going to be spending more time on the road out of Texas since I'm 100% remote with a good internet connection.
