Great detail of installation process. Here is a mistake I made: KEEP the back of he lock in the LEARN mode ON; I switched mine to off and the fob didn't work. It remembered the Fob though. I switched back, and keep it in fob learn on, and it works great.

That's correct. It's a little confusing, but the "LEARN" is only referring to the little button you push to allow the lock to learn the FOB. The switch ON/OFF is not the learn switch but just turns on the FOB function and allows the FOB to unlock the door. If it is off, it isn't communicating with the FOB.

Main tip here: when re-programming your own code...hit the 8 first, then while holding the 8 in hit the lock icon...not both at the same time!

Maybe I wasn't clear when I said, "Start by pushing 8, holding it while pushing the lock button." You are correct that you push 8 first, not at the same time. Thanks for the clarification.
