For a second I thought was my own trailer. We have exactly the 1985 and I have the exactly same Weight distribution system and I put the bars exactly on that spot. hahaha. Now that we are back form the trip I will design like a clamp or holder so I can put the bars in the tongue, Since I wont be moving the trailer without them, I prefer to put them there and no use space in the trailer. And I keep them greased and is not good to get grease everywhere. If you still have this trailer and you are interested, after I designad/3dprin themt/test I can send you a pair for free :)

@adventuresofjandk4 жыл бұрын
Hi Paul. Thanks for watching. I wouldn’t buy into too much with what folks say on blogs when it comes to negotiating trailer prices. It varies so much by brand. For instance, you are not going to get dealers to budge much on Airstreams, Lance, etc. They know they are high quality and charge a premium for it. I am a really good negotiator when it comes to car buying etc but buying a Lance was a whole other ball game. More important than price is buying from a local trusted dealer with good repair facilities. I emailed dealers across the Country and none would budge on price for the Lance. Pretty much paid full price for ours but worth it in the end as we don’t worry too much about quality. You are not going to get a huge break unless you maybe find a model that has been sitting a couple of years. It’s worth a shot don’t get me wrong but don’t expect a huge break or you will be disappointed.

Lance and Carefree have a upgrade further "Black Cones" on top of the awning arms that eliminate the rubbing that wears holes in the awning fabric. We had holes in both ends. I would post a picture here, but I can't. Good luck BobnRobin

Another important thing to keep an eye on, are the metal strips (flanges) along the slide opening at the bottom. There are thru bolts and screws. If the flanges help keep the slide mechanism in the wall. There can be a lot of pressure on them when the slide moves in and out, on some models. Just keep an eye to make sure the flanges a snug. This is why your trailer should be level and stabilizers down when slide is out. Good luck and Happy Travels BobnRobin
