@RVBlogger3 ай бұрын
@@barbarafarrington7146 Actually, we recommend you only tow up to 80% of your vehicle's max tow capacity. In your case, this would only be 1600 lbs after the camper is loaded with all your gear and supplies. So you really need a camper that weighs less than 1000 lbs. (This doesn't really exist unless you choose a GoSun or something like it.) I suggest a larger tow vehicle.

Another great video. My wife and I just finished a 5 month adventure that took us from California to Maine and then back through Canada. We made a decision when we bought our trailer to not get a murphy bed and to not get an east/west orientation. For a long trip like ours having a permanently set up north/south convenient and comfortable queen bed was maybe the best decision we made. No daily set up, no crawling over someone to get out of bed. Our trailer, a Sunriver SunLite 18rd, meets the specs of this video for weight, but also has a dry bath, which also made the entire journey easier. Also, I really grew to enjoy our dinette. I guess my advice is to know how you will use your trailer when you make the important decisions about bed, bath, and beyond.

At a cost of 32,000 I expect a lot more than what The Coachman Clipper gives you. There is literally no space for clothes or really much storage at all other than that one closet next to the refrigerator. It's interesting because I had really thought that was one of the floor plans I'd like but seeing it in action it's disappointing they should have used some of the bathroom space for wardrobes

Definitely agree with Susan on the 1st one. Dinette should covert to bed. Eliminate the extra weight and cost of Murphy bed. For that list price, it should have a finished shower enclosure. With that said, the 1st one is one of my favorite small trailer layouts due to the size of that bathroom. Thanks as always for showing us these. You and Susan make a great team. My favorite.

It's nice to see units that actually look like they're quality. So often you open a door or a small cubby and it's just particle board and 1x2 framing that just looks awful and cheap. *cough* Coachman *cough*. The InTech actually took the time to consider the whole trailer, not just the parts you see on the showroom floor. And the nuCamp went even further with that nice baltic birch and I even saw box joints on the drawers! I know these things cost more money, and potentially a little extra weight, but these two seem like they'd hold their value a LOT better because they're actually built well.

The NuCamp is built well but lives cramped for more than a solo traveler. Excited for new floor plan on Coachman Is open and gives room to spread out in lounge mode.
