@@RVBlogger Yes, we are subscribers of your channel and the magazine. Both are excellent! (I re-read my comment that I made to you. My statement implied that we were still tent camping...sorry....we have a travel trailer. The pop-up was our next purchase after the tent). I think it would be a good idea for everyone to try tent camping and then pop-up camping before purchasing an RV....it gives you so much more prospective on how you would like to camp.

I'm liking the Clipper. It's sort of a hybrid. Great for 2 or 3. Park in the garage to keep in great condition. We upgraded from tents to a pop up when we needed to sleep 4 or more. I loved it. Sold it for a good amount of cash many years later when we went to a couples camper.

I just bought a 2002 Rockwood. It’s cute, roomy and my son with Down syndrome and I have had so much camping the last two weekends! The air conditioning had to have a little work but it will freeze you out and the it has a nice furnace. I put foam memory pads on the mattresses on each end, they are comfy. I pull it with my jeep Cherokee. I only paid 3,000! I feel so fortunate! It only needed a little TLC and a couple of things fixed. I needed a potty and shower for my son and it came with it.

From my experience, I don't how you can say that these campers can be towed by Almost any vehicle....The Quicksilver 8.0/ 850 pound all aluminum tent trailer can be pulled by almost any vehicle. What weight in your opinion can a midsize car safely pull? I am curious as I am looking to buy one... And unfortunately the Quicksilver by Livinlite are no longer in production.

Can I ask a question about the pop up fabric for the coachmen clipper 12.0. One, is the fabric fully attached to side wall compared to the earlier models that you had to Velcro in place. Second, how water resistant/durable is the fabric in rainy weather situations. I have heard some mix views but overall it has been on the positive side. Third, basic care of the fabric from general use and when it has been rained on. Again I have heard people say soap/water to clean and also some have use stochguard to the fabric to repell the water. I can get general cleaning to care for fabric but a bit concern about mold build up when pop up extension in closed up. Fourth, might you know the measurement of the screen windows. I had a thought of maybe making a plexiglass intensert between the fabric and the screen. Thinking maybe that would help protect the fabric when raining and when you don't want the screen but want light. Oh one more question. Might you know the the measurement of the pop up when open to full extension to ground.Really like this camper and would be my first. So I just want to care for it correctly and getting all the info I can get. Appreciate your time and feedback. Jessica 😊

What really strikes me about the traditional pop-up campers shown in the early part of the video is their tremendous waste of space. It seems to me that a dinette and sofa are unnecessary if you can sit on the edge of the bed. I could imagine a removable table of sorts that would allow you to sit on the bed edge and use that as your dining table and desk. That would free up space for a toilet/shower combo. It seems to be this is all a travelling couple would need and would be the sort of trade-off I could live with.

Any under 1000 pounds that can be towed with a Hyundai Sonata?
@RVBlogger Жыл бұрын
A camper under 1,000lbs is basically going to be a tent off the ground. You won't find a kitchen or bathroom facilites. We did a tour of the MyPod that has a dry weight of 840lbs kzbin.info/www/bejne/ppnFlHmCjb2hq7M We don't have any other videos that fit that category but we do have some blog articles that might help. This first one is about pop up campers you can tow with a motorcycle. rvblogger.com/blog/pop-up-camper-motorcycle/ Check out the SylvanSport Go is this article. rvblogger.com/blog/camper-trailers-you-can-tow-with-jeep-wrangler Please feel free to ask any questions. Had one, in my own personal opinion other then the silly A frame trailers there's no trailer that will loose more value faster, no "Cracker barrel factor" , good luck trying to heat and cool it in the off seasons. You can hear every sound when inside. Tiny useless fridge. For a little more you could buy a real trailer that can be set up in 10 min. And a real bathroom. Just look on Craigslist, there's thousands of pop up's being sold for good reason.
