Back in 1970 my father took us there in a volts wagon and we rented the jail and spent the night. It rain so hard that night there was about a foot of water on floor. Dog swam across to each bed hanging by chains from ceiling. There was graveyard from 1800’s behind the jail.

Old Bill sold that place? Wow! Everytime you go down mainstreet i always check out the ice cream shop and the leather shop. The largest leather dealer in the S.W. and up front.....the best ice cream. Nice video!

Thank you Russ. Glad you are enjoying the weather. I have most of Quartzsite flagged with places I want to visit. It's a little bit away from the San Fernando Valley LA. But it is going to be worth the trip. I'm already thinking about a metal detector too. Keep filming these places for us. I prefer the desert over forests any time. Cant compare the West vs the East where trees come up to the highway and you cant see Sht. In the desert, you can say what you say, "See those mountains? That is where we are going next."

I'm fascinated with the jailhouse, leaves you wandering about those crooks back in the day. They were exposed to the elements wind, rain, dust, cold, snow, heat, creepy crawlies, constipation, (didn't see a B.R.), who knows what else, with no window or door. Haunted? If only the walls could actually talk the stories they would tell. What about a paranormal adventure one evening to stay over night............... inside................alone? Thanks Russ. We were there earlier this week and got some great deals on some tumbling rocks and a few specimens. We even bought a great puzzle at Tyson Wells. Time permitting, would you do a walk-through of Desert Gardens? The vendors were awesome and have lots of new rock and minerals this year. Thanks again.
