🙋♀️Hello Russ! I liked riding out to see the old gold mine, looking out over "Q" mountain to see our favorite 'lil town of Quartzsite. So very happy for the owner of Miner Depot with the changes his life will have next year. Good for him! There's a very good opportunity for a store manager in Quartzsite. Maybe we can go to Alaska next year & stay with your friend while mining for gold in his creek. I could see the walking bear. I'd love to have "1" for my coffee. 👍

Hey guys, I am planning a US road trip, coming from old Europe and obviously time is tight. My co-pilot will get 3 weeks of hols, maybe-maybe 4 weeks. So I would like your opinion on how many days to spend on each of the following (have planned out the rest). I had been there 35 years ago, so have a rough idea, but not great :) Zion - is staying one night enough? One can roll through pretty quickly, but I was thinking about doing that walk in the river up the gorge this time. Yosemite - I cannot remember whether we stayed 2 or 3 nights, what do you say? Grand Canyon, we will arrive late in the day coming from the west, so I guess the GC starts with arriving at the hotel - do I need 2-3-4 days for a good experience? Many thanks!

The Miners Depot does get some great reviews on the youtube prospector shows, especially his pay dirt. Glad to see he's finally going up to live his dream. I wonder about the store up north, if that one will close too? Hey Russ contrary to what people say about that "gold mine" out on the side of "the Q", it wasn't a gold mine. It was a custom gold mill. Out pass the truck stop, is a mountain called "Granite" mountain, back in there you will find all sorts of Gold mines. These would truck there ore to the gold mill. You know they are mines because of the adits, haulage portals, even shafts. There used to be one out on the frontage road toward Scaggen wash. Love your buggy. Going to get me a mug some day. Peace.
