Beautiful. I wouldn't rush back to No. CA - temps high and a big fire in Lower Clear Lake again. I just spent a week in Grass Valley and temps were around 95. Smoky skies driving through your home of Sacramento. Then up to Ukiah where it is 102 today. Enjoy the clean skies and lower temps while you are up there!!!

That's a tough one, Sequim is skwim. So happy that you are enjoying the scenery. About 52% of Washington's land area is covered with forests and most of that is west of the Cascade Mountains. Yep, a lot of trees.

You missed a beautiful beach a short distance from Forks, WA., well worth the short drive, but not in a large RV. It's called Realto Beach and just accross the river is La Push, which has beach front cottages you can rent.

Hi Russ. I must have missed you by a couple of days at Hoquiam River RV Park. I'm on a ten year fifty state tour and this is my shakedown cruise up the west coast. I followed your trailer mod pretty close because I'm pulling a 16' dual axle behind me with hobbies and tools from one end to the other, oh dirty laundry too. I chose to live in a pickup camper for now. See you on the road. Jerry

You missed three treasures in this area: Hurricane Ridge (mountain views) up in the mountains south of Port Angeles, wild beaches at La Push (west of Forks), and the Hoh rain forest (huge trees with moss hanging on their branches). Put those on your bucket list for the next trip to Washington. Cheers.

It's pronounced "squim". The lake was lake Cresent I believe, gogeous! Forks recieves more rainfall than anywhere in the continental U. S.!

That part of the coast there is actually national park, that's why there are no gas stations and such. You missed one of the best views though. Something to put on a bucket list for a future visit, a road out of Port Angeles that goes about 20 miles up into the Olympic national park to one of the most magnificent viewpoints in Wa State called Hurricane Ridge. Looks like you are headed into my area on the southern Oregon coast it will be breathtaking no matter what weather you run into!

I love the ocean. That was a pretty drive thru there. Can you plan a stop in Port Orford, OR when you get down that way? RVDebs is on her way to moving there. Sounds like a really small artsy town.
