Castle Rock did the most spectacular Chevy commercial there back in 64. Drove hwy128 a few times, spectacular scenic drive.Scary drive at night time' Stopped at ghost town of Cisco, right before getting on I70 on way to Colorado. We had the occasion to stay at Red cliffs Lodge right along the Colorado river where you mentioned the cabins were . If in the area this, a must magnificent scenic drive and thanks for taking us along. Also getting on I70 there too, most spectacular part of I70..

I drove 128 last in 2003. Was fortunate to have been able to walk the Dewey Suspension Bridge across the Colorado River before it was tragically destroyed by a manmade fire almost 5 years later. On a family trip in 1970, we were traveling through Cisco Utah at the time that the finale for the cult classic movie, Vanishing Point was being filmed. If you've seen the movie, we missed the explosive finale because the weather had changed. That would have affected the continuity of the rest of the footage. We had to move along. I do have some behind the scenes photos. How about a trip to the north entrance to the Grand Canyon National Park sometime? Thanks!

Wow, Russ that drive in to Moab, Utah was impressive. The road developers had some massive rocks to deal with and from all indications they still have some good size boulders there. Good number of large canyon rocks with what appears to be water on the face of the walls. Thanks for taking us along on your journey.

Your defiantly RV driving guy. The landscape is interesting. I think I got this area kinda figured out. That path is Lion Park. Be very nice walking both ways. Bicycle very short but I would have mine with me. BLM $20 is laugh able. I do have senior pass half for nothing. So, this is where the Arches NP is. And I will not be just driving pass Canyonland like it's not there. Well, this is one those rip off areas out there that is very crowded. Or the Arches would not have entrance times. So, if you can run generator for AC on BLM {different spot] that might be best. At Moab I tried a campsite booking but their system is screw up. Seems only 2 weeks in advance. Weather today had snow in it.

definitely spelling is hard like not being crowded in NP just not easy or possible
