Pretty sure I’d drive all that way just to see the 300-year old mission and Olive trees. I don’t know which was more breathtaking - the stonework of the mission or the branches on the Olive tree. Absolutely incredible!

That boat rental reminds me of Egypt where they would give people a price to ride the camels but when they got out in the middle of nowhere, it suddenly cost them 2 to 3 times more to return.😮 Glad I've never had the urge to ride a camel.

It’s too bad the weather sucked while you were there. I’ve seen several RVers do Mexico in good weather and it’s a beautiful country, at least when the weather cooperates. Your RV is exactly the type of rig my wife wants as it’s the largest RV she’d be willing to drive. I have a bad back so can’t drive a long way, so need something she can drive when I can’t. It appears you guys are happy with yours, so I’ll look into something like that. The front end is a bit goofy looking, but as they say, beauty is in the eye of the price tag, price and what fulfills your needs.

After 29 years of marriage, and encouraging coaching from my wife, I can tolerate black olives but still can’t stand green ones! But I love the trees and admire their resilience. And I do now like olive oil with pesto on good fresh French bread. LOL

Definitely Team Olive here: I love 'em. In response to your question early in the video: When I think of Baja, I think "desert." There was more green, and more water, than I thought - but a mission having to move because the water ran out confirmed my notion that parts, at least, are desert.

Like you, I’m a full time nomad. I have been to Baja 5 out of the last six winters. (Covid kept me away one year.) I fell in love with Loreto the first time I visited. This winter I only had two months to spend in Baja and I jetted down and stayed in Loreto for two months - at Romanita’s! Glad you’ve gotten to experience it! And I hope you got to experience the great band 477 at Zapata’s on a Thursday night! (Or any of the other spots they perform regularly!)

Team Olive! I'm an expat living in Panama. Here the Panamanians, my family put olives in almost all their dishes. Either black or green or sometimes both. For instance what you would call a chicken rice casserole (arroz con pollo) we put olives in it. And when we celebrate stateside Thanksgiving both green and black olives are added to the turkey stuffing as well as pecans and raisins. My wife makes the best stuffing. It kind of has a sweet and sour plus savory flavor all at the same time. It's awesome! Oh God bless and safe travels! Yes I'm team Olive! 🤠🕊️🙏🏻☝🏻❤️✝️🙌🏻

I love Olive trees - from the ones we saw in Spain that were fruiting when Jesus was walking the earth, Their wood is stunning when used in cooking wares - spatulas, knife handles, spoons, cutting boards, I have some Olive woods artwork a small Nativity set (I cannot afford the large ones), Crucifixes, etc. I like green olives, black olives, Kalamata Olives, and Olive Oil is a staple in my kitchen that's used daily. I'm glad you took the time to see the Mission, very cool. Y'all stay safe.

I'm definitely with Team Marissa about the olives. 👍 Any kind, anywhere, any time. If you like green olives, check out Giuliano (pickled) Muffuletta Olive Salad Mix. It's good for salads - especially pasta salad - but also great on hoagie s and other sandwiches like an Italian Sub sandwiches, cucumbers, etc. Yummy.

When my brother was in the Army, he was stationed in El Paso. The GIs would go to Juarez on their time off to eat and goof around. He said that you never know what type of meat was in the food... there were very few dogs on the streets, if you get my drift... 😱

In Mexico, you must be careful crossing streets. Vehicles have the right away, not pedestrians. There are even signs in towns that clearly state "Cede paso a vehiculos" - "Give right away to vehicles". Trippy. That's why people run across the street - or walk fast.

Watched your adventures for a while and an Airstreamer. I believe "small as you can stand" is best- LOL. I am happy in the 25' but it is just me. I camped in a View (24') and loved it too. Bigger just limits more and makes it harder to manage. You need more with kids but... The happy spot is, to me, as I quoted above.

I suspect that Baja was getting the edges of the really complex weather systems we were getting up here in Alta California. You really need to visit Baja with an old hand that hablas enough Spanglish to get around AND knows how to get around. But when weather is bad, like you got, then any place is not going to make it.
