As for campground reservations we did make them long in advance for Gros Morne, Pippy Park in St Johns and in Gander ( because we had booked tickets to Come From Away)… the rest tho we just called a day or two in advance. The demise of the Newfoundland fishery was a gift from Canada. They ignored all Newfoundlander's warnings.

Too true. Interestingly, we heard from a few Newfoundlanders while we were there similar concerns about the current capelin fishery. Obviously we are not informed enough to even offer an opinion but it was interesting nonetheless.
