Replacing Brake Light Fuse on a 2007 Toyota Sienna

Troubleshooting my brake lights not working and found a blown fuse under the driver's side dash board..

Thank you. Turns out my fuse blew as well. All my brake lights are working now. My VSC, Trac, & ABS warning lights went off as well. Thanks a lot!

Thanks. Saved me time in the hunt. I tried the wrong size brake bulb and the fuse blew. New fuse and new correct light bulbs and all works now.

Thanks for the info. Which one is the fuse for the center upper mounted stop light? It's not coming on and you have to replace the whole thing if is burn out. But some say that is a led light and they seldom go out and suggest checking the fuse first. But where is the fuse? Help!

Russell Long Lol 🤣that's one way to put it. Same here I was looking everywhere for this, I couldn't get the van off from parking had to press the button under the little cover on the shift to get it off from gear and had to drive with hazard lights on home.

Fuse went off again today. Using shift locker button to move around. Any Idea what could be the reason ?

You have a short somewhere.. Bad bulb, bad socket, or something else causing it to blow the fuse.

Do you know if the headlight fuse is under the hood or under the steering wheel?

I had light issue, replacecd bulb. Then after that, they dont turn on. Only then with headlights on, the brake lighgs will stay on but stay on as if you are braking. I replaced that fuse. Nothing. Didnt see that sesnos thoguh, behind the brake. Will try today

@@masif9346 I did fix it. Turns out it was the wrong bulb. It fit in perfectly but it only had one wire (so brake light always on). I did replace the number ten fuse, which was blown. After that, maintenance light finally turned off. Noyce

My brake light fuse blew. It turned out the brake light bulb shorted out messing up the circuits and leading to a lot of fruitless troubleshooting. The replacement bulb for my Sienna 2006 is a 1157, not the bulbs that I found specified elsewhere.

I had a similar issue. Actually could not put the car in gear and apparently brake light is linked to it. Did you have a spare 10A fuse or did you have to go and buy one? There seemed to be a spare fuse for everything other than a 10A! Strange.

I had to go buy one. There were spares for the larger fuses for the box under the hood but for this fuse panel under the dash

Hey Mark was it the fuse or was it the brake light switch that you replaced I'm having the same problem.....no brake lights and cannot get the car out of park unless I use the emergency override button on the console.... 2008 Toyota solara SLE V6 coupe.... Hope someone can help with this...my brother changed the left brake light bulb, after installing a new one, the right light bulb went off, abs light came one, and the shifter locked on park...what can it be, burnt fuse??

Sounds like an electrical short or other issue going on.. I'd get a diagnostic done to know for sure.

I doubt you’re still having the problem but, the same thing happened to me I fixed the fuse disconnected the battery for like a minute put it back together and it worked fine lights turned off
