31Ft. 2018 PumaNew 60 Mil. TPO Roof and Re-deck

1. Remove roofing material, AC, vents, skylight and antenna(s) and other components on roof top.
Note: crank up style antennas can NOT BE RE-INSTALLED
2. Remove decking.‌
3. Inspect underside of roof for structural damage, unprotected wires and breached ac ducts.
4. Advise of repairs that may effect work order price.
5. Adhere new decking and mechanically fasten said decking.
6. Adhere TPO roof membrane.‌
7. Adhere edge banding buffer strips to both right and left edges of coach. Add buffer strips to all roof deck joints that may compromise, if needed, or that may chafe the main roofing. ‌
8. Adhere TPO membrane to roof deck.
9. Fabricate and install custom made curbs to roof for AC unit(s), vent(s) and heat weld to main roof membrane. Weld in custom boots for plumbing and radio antenna(s)
10. Re-install; existing AC [with new gasket(s)], roof vents, skylights, plumbing vents, radio antenna(s).‌
11. Clean, Paint and Re-install termination bars from front, sides and rear.‌
12. Caulk where necessary and appropriate to seal roof terminations, vents, skylights and plumbing.

Thank you. Really though, we are only doing what folks entrust us to do. Detail is essential on these coaches. Miss a detail and it could become a serious problem. Kind of like a surgeon leaving an instrument in his patient when he suchers them up .. lol. In this case, detail would really matter .. lol. What I find is most RV shops just do for the sake of doing and not knowing why. That mind set with lack of experience, makes it impossible for for them to recognize a situation needing attention for preventative measures. I'm not an RV guy. I am a former licensed commercial general contractor by trade. Kind of fell into RVs when I sold my commercial company years ago when I was trying to semi retire. Thank you for watching.

I've watched a number of your videos and have found them to be very informative , But I'm wondering how do you attach the curbs to the roof? Are they attached by screws from the inside ? and the heat welding, it certainly looks like you put a good deal of work into these projects and I truly believe you've sealed up the roofs on these units. Makes me wish I would've started RV repairs sooner in life and was your apprentice as well, I'm retired now.

John all the component designs, curbs, boots etc are proprietary to us. I designed the roof system. They are screwed down and yes they are all heat welded. We fabricate all these components as needed where needed in house. Thanks for watching.

How do you seal where the front cap rolls up onto the roof? Especially on a stick and tin. There's usually a termination bar. Just curious how you are sealing that without lap sealant?

@@timmacrae328 We load the back side of the termination bar, secure and make 2 passes of caulking on each side.
