My wife and I were considering getting a fifth wheel but after watching your videos and seeing the cheap material these things are made with, I think I’ll just use a hotel room. If I ever do get one, I’ll probably take it straight from the dealer to you and let you turn it into a quality product.

Foam doesn't harbor mold. There is no nutrition at all in foam adhesives for mold to thrive on. Even the foam insulation has no nutrition for mold. What you are seeing is mold on the plyfoam. The mold will feed of the damp plywood that is glued to foam. Rest assured we definitely do due diligence on products and installation.

you should coat the roof with water repellent as well. and even framing when you do rebuilds. a coat of water repellent on everything will shed water away immediately. i just bought my first that needs work and i have alot of ideas. great video!!

TPO roofs are water repellent. TPO is Thermal Plastic Olifin. No need for the aftermarket repellant. Thanks for watching.

The curbs are a secret recipe. They are complicated. There is 16 pieces to put it together.

I heard why this one didn’t get staples but on others I’ve seen they’ve gotten staples. Does that come down to how the roof is constructed? I know my 05 Fleetwood has fasteners with its wooden trusses and fiberglass batting. I suppose class A are probably different.

That step out/spacing of the awning will work great in the summer, sadly up in the NORTHERN states in the winter ice will form between the awning and the roof and "ice jack" the connection and leaks will develop. It's like putting water in a glass jar and freezing the water, the glass breaks. People in the North know about ice dams on the outer edge of their roofs in the winter.

Wasn't drywall mesh. It was interior reinforcement scrim of the TPO membrane.

Amazing quality work. You should be an OEM. What material do you use for the transition from the luan to radius. It looks like a tape? In the video you called them "protector strips" at around the eight minute mark.

The protective strip is TPO membrane remnants. The rolls are 10 ft wide, coaches at best are 8.5 ft wide. So the left over we slice up to use under the main the membrane to prevent the siding from chaffing the membrane. Thanks for watching.

You should be using the glue the manufacturer recommends on the membrane you're using. Go to a commercial roof supply, and they'll get you the proper membrane adhesive. That is, if you're using a commercial membrane. Thanks for watching.

What do you use for the protector strips? I’m about to do my roof and I keep seeing everyone using these protector strips along the edges and seams. Is it a tape? What works best for dicor tpo and dicor glue?

DON'T use Dicor anything!!!. The strips are the roofing material remnants.

You can buy any brand, doesn't have to be GAF, in fact, we don't use GAF anymore, haven't for years. Your local commercial roofing supply will ha e everything you need. May be Firestone, Genflex, Carlisle...but they'll have a TPO membrane. Thanks for watching.

No you can't sand the fleece because there is still glue in the roof deck and that glue will was up the paper. Also the time factor to sand it would be too long.

that spray foam that y'all using that stuff is no good it is dangerous to use and bad for your health it causes mold I've seen it used on a a camper roof this turned is black as a car tire I'm not saying y'alls process is no good but I think I would have found a better glue to glue that plywood down on that deck
