I’d like to think that even though Adam is gone, seemingly for good, that they don’t glorify his death. Sure, he made his choices and was by no means a good person being an abusive, manipulative and spiteful person. But, in the end, he was just a man who drowned in the hate that created him. A hate that sadly still exists in Atlas and may never be overcome if things don’t change. Monsters like Adam aren’t born, that type of spite is created by those around them. Blake’s initial reaction seems to indicate that there is clear remorse on her part and while there she may not mourn for Adam now, I’d like to hope that she does mourn for who he was. There’s nothing to celebrate in another lost life.

Indeed, neither of them wanted to kill him and in fact both of them outright told him to just leave. If he had taken either offer to just walk away he would be alive now but he gave them no choice, it was kill or be killed. The fact that they had to take a life even in self defense will change them forever and I believe we will see that play out in coming volumes so while Adam is gone his impact on the story will resonate.

First, I absolutely love your cat's total chill and just calmly lapping himself in the background. It was absolutely awesome! :) Second... I don't agree with you that Adam's death was anti-climactic. This was the first death on-screen that was shown without a discretion shot or a lack of blood... and also was something inflicted *by* a main character (or two). It would have been anti-climactic if he was pushed off the cliff or crushed under rocks or the like, or if Blake and Yang made a joke and ran off. Instead, they drove *blades* through Adam's chest and torso. And then Blake broke down *sobbing* because she'd killed a man with her own two hands. It also ended one character arc and started a new one. Blake no longer has *any* ties to the White Fang. The White Fang is dead and she killed it. She is moving on into the future... a future with Yang. Now she has to live with what she has done... and what *Yang* did to protect her. Yang also has to live with this and I hope it haunts both of them. Because it's one thing to fight monsters and watch them fade into dust afterward but this? This was a person. A horrible person... but still flesh-and-blood. So... no. I honestly don't see this as anti-climactic. And I look forward to next week's Reaction Video. :)

- I figured that Qrow saw the image of Summer when Ruby went to try and talk one more time with Cordovin, just cause of the face he makes like he's seeing a ghost. - I love the BB vs Adam fight mostly cause of the choreography of BB working in unison and perfectly in sync. - Also love Blake's aura's being purple - While fighting back Adam, Yang's eyes were constantly watching Blake to make sure she was okay. Whether intentional or not its a stark contrast to the Black trailer where Adam shows no real care for Blake. - I absolutely love Yang's semblance in the Maya animation, it just looks so good and "popping" - The scene with Blake and Yang hits right in the feels and says worlds about how much Blake trusts Yang, to let her see that vulnerable side of herself. - I definitely do think that falling in love is a big deal to Blake, which only makes me that much happier that she's fallen for Yang. The woman that will do anything for her and whose flaw is being so protective that she forgets about her own safety. If there's anyone that will never hurt her, its that golden sunny dragon.

Yang and Blake killed Adam, people used to think Blake was a homeless orphan before volume 4, Emerald was homeless and possibly an orphan, Emerald's semblance is illusions, illusions can be referred to as smoke and mirrors, Weiss sings about mirrors, Mirrors show reflections, Velvet's weapon was a reflection of everyone else's weapons, weapons kill people, Blake and Yang are known as Bumblebee, the smoke part of smoke and mirrors, bees are weak against smoke, by using this train of thought we can deduce that Emerald will kill one or both of the Bumblebee ship, Emerald is part of a villain Pyramid with her and me on the bottom and Cinder on the top, Emerald's color theme is green, what else is a green pyramid? The illuminati! Illuminati confirmed.
@theycallmebad5 жыл бұрын
The whole "I may not be faster, but I'm smarter" stems from her conversation with her dad back in volume 4; about she and Raven thought the only way through something was through force, but if Yang only took the time to think things through, there's a way around as well. She didn't rely on her Semblance (thus strength) to charge in and overpower Adam; she behaved smarter, dodging when she could, using kicks to throw him off, and only used her Semblance when the moment was right; and even then she acted smart and threw away his weapon to completely rob Adam of a melee weapon, thus taking away any real damage he could've otherwise have done.

I really liked the line “but I’m smarter” because she’s not saying “I’m smarter than you” she’s referring back to being smart than she was when they first fought. She’s smarter because she isn’t just rushing in and relying on her strength; she’s really not her wit. Making the move of catching Adams swords. She’s not be stronger and punching through Adam, she’s being smarter and working around Adam’s moves. Smarter than she was when they first fought. And she won.

Adam's death is like a reverse Phyrra. A brutal, sudden death putting the end to a regular character. And it's even another redhead. Except it's a character we hate being killed by characters we love. I really liked Adam as a character, though. He felt like a person. A twisted, fucked up person, but a person. And in the end, he died like everyone else. I don't even think he considered the idea that he could die. In his head he's the hero of the story, betrayed by everyone else and righteously angry at everything. But really he's just been burning all his bridges and left himself nowhere else to go. The only thing he had left was his hatred. Killing him was basically a mercy at this point.
@shingshongshamalama4 жыл бұрын
Adam, ultimately, has served his purpose. He was genuinely well written for what he was, and he serves his purpose in the narrative superbly. And makes me fucking hate him. But keeping him around any longer, or god forbid actually trying to redeem him after this point, would be a complete misstep and severely confuse the direction of this character arc. Adam's story was never really about Adam himself, but about the problems the Faunus faced, the way self-destructive extremism rises out of impoverished and oppressed peoples, and Blake coming to terms with her greatest inner demons.

About the negative energy, when we first see the mech come out (and/or when it fires its first shot), we get a brief shot of how the population in Argus reacts with screaming etc. I suspect the conflict was clearly audible (but not visible) from Argus, which leads them to think they're being attacked. A quick note to the animation student - if you're going to animate an object to draw attention to it, make sure you understand how it functions if it's something that exists in the real world, otherwise suspension of disbelief may be damaged. At 4:51, Ruby fires her sniper bullet, but the object being shown in slow-motion is both the bullet and the casing, which is where the explosive charge is held and is also what's ejected by the lever action on her rifle. It's not a detail everyone will catch, but for those that do, it's an incredible glaring oversight and a hugely surprising one for a studio in Texas of all places.

Well, everything that happened with Taco during the opening was great and pure Without echoing everything I said on the last video, there isn't much I can say about the Cordovin fight. As for Adam vs Yang and Blake, I am so glad he's dead, there was no way he would've gotten out of that alive considering his mindset. He was abusive and needed to be stopped. Yang and Blake's fight with him was done well and the end of it simply ending with him falling off of a cliff was great. All he got to see in his dying moments was water as he fell. (Plus to anyone who tries to argue he's alive, have you tried to swim a crippled body that has a broken back and multiple stab wounds from a broken sword through the lungs to safety after hitting water from that height?) Either way, we can rejoice! Adam is dead! Then them showing Blake break down shows that this has been mentally taxing for her, sure she's moved on but having your abuser attack you like this is the worst thing to have happened. Hopefully she gets to have time to recover mentally and emotionally after what she's gone through. She deserves more than just a break from everything at this point. Finally, we now get to see the Leviathan is definitely a cool looking Grimm, kinda has a Godzilla vibe to it so that's a cool thing.

Thinking about the grimm. Yes, it's true that negative energy attracts grimm and the bigger the energy the bigger the grimm will most likely appear. I do believe that a large amount of energy came from the citizens of Argos when they saw the big machine like I think that they never knew that Atlas was hiding a machine like that and hearing Caroline speech, people started thinking that Atlas were going to use that machine if people of Argos were to go against them, add more fear. But then you've got the fight. However I think people have forgotten since episode 2 when Ozpin mention that grimm are attracted to the relic. So yeah, Argos did become a large beacon for grimm to come like moths to the light. And of course, the large grimms attract other grimms.

I think that it would be enough negative energy, since the whole city is witnessing this fight, and that would summon the leviathan, and then large grim attract small grim, so that is why the sky is filled with grim.

I think you are missing a factor to the giant grimm being summoned, yes Cordova's attitude and obvious fanaticism did a part of it...but i'm guessing the poeples in the city being scared shitless at seeing the giant mech being taken out and not knowing why did the rest.

*ya know when you throw up in your mouth when you feel sick. After the reaction ended, I just did that but with spit and siliva. I think that was the first time, I really knew deep down, that Adam doesn’t deserve sympathy. I saw this scene so many times, and thought in my head “but his backstory is so sad” and “maybe they should step back and try and understand” and the first time I’m realizing that I really thought that. I’m not sick of Adam physically or mentally which makes feel terrible, I’m sick of Adam which makes me feel glad that he’s dead.* - -//

Good bye and Good Riddance Adam! And that moment, man that moment. I want to say that Yang is my favorite member of Team RWBY just based on her personality displayed until the Fall of Beacon and over time that has changed to me loving everyone including Blake, and I know they had their moment but watching it again with your reaction made me wish I could just hug them both and telling Blake too its going to be okay. On another note with the finale coming out this weekend for non RT Firsters, not sure if I'm looking forward to it because this is how it will end in Argus instead of them already in Atlas, and also because its the last episode and the last reaction episode for the volume and I have to wait a whole summer until October to see your awesome reactions.

Someone pointed out how earlier, Yang & Blake hold hands in a shot angled so that that's in the foreground, with Sun directly visible watching in the center background. yeah it's a safe bet it's canon.

Aaryn, are you reacting to Gen-lock? Ruby: I need you to trust me. Qrow mentally: Crap! She grew too big on me. Adam learned the hard way to never underestimate someone who is desperate. Also his death gives new meaning to double penetration. That hit from Yang should have pulverized a good portion of his insides as well as shattered several ribs. Cordovan royally messed up.
