I mean, their semblances should hopefully balance/cancel each other out, but everybody seems to be freaking out over that. Even though it means Qrow won't be able to accidentally jinx the team anymore (obviously a good thing), it also means Clover won't have his good luck he's grown accustomed to to fall back on if something bad happens, which may result in either a injury or death of a team mate.

I feel that the characters’ reactions to Ruby’s decision perfectly show their personalities. Yang wears her personality on her sleeves and has had secrets hidden for her throughout her entire life. She would want to keep everything out in the open. However, she loves and trusts her sister more than anything so she’ll trust her for now even though she’s vocal about how this goes against her ideals. Blake has been betrayed by someone she put all of her trust into before, Adam, just like Ruby with Lionheart so she’s very understanding with what she’s doing and supports it. Weiss has seen both sides of the argument play out and has constantly had to play the mediator so she’s trusting of Ruby, but still hesitant about making any type of decision until enough information is learned.

RectPropagation how do we know she kept it from them? Sure we never see her tell them, but we never see them tell Blake about Ozpin and Oscar sharing a body and she seems pretty caught up in Volume 6. They probably discussed it between volumes.

@@salvadorgarcia9897 The difference with Blake is that 1) we're told they discuss why they're in Haven at the end of the volume and 2) we never see them intentionally withhold information about Ozpin from her. At the end of V5, Blake asks what the others are doing there and Ruby says, "That's a long story.". Blake says, "Well, I'm not going anywhere.". So we know they catch each other up on what happened. There's no reason to think that wouldn't include Oscar and Ozpin. But we do see Yang lie about what happened in the vault to everyone. If she later told the truth, that's something that should happen on screen. Whatever reasons she had for hiding that information likely didn't change or go away between volumes.

I really like the transient matter conversion. Rather then how Harriet is just like the Flash, Ruby seems to turn into something, covered by her cape, spinning and leaving petals behind. Maybe, as the name, Petal Burst, suggests she turns into a burst of petals, which move incredibly quick as they are really lite.

Well in the Red Trailer, Ruby used her semblance to fake out a bunch of Beowolvf Grimm; she dematerialized into rose petals right before the Grimm slashed her, and then she reappeared high in the sky. So I'd say it's similar to Blake's Shadow semblance.

it’s funny, in the last couple of volumes, i’ve been saying her semblance isn’t speed, because she can fly, and her punches don’t hit hard. i used to say it was flight (or perhaps velocity like the guy above said), but before this episode came out and it got confirmed that her semblance isn’t that simple, i thought it might be that she can make herself lighter, and so she can move very fast, but she still needs a weapon to actually damage anything, and (slightly joking) it explains why she was able to get spun around by weiss in 7x2

I love the little details of yellow and purple involved in Yang and Blake’s new outfits to subtly say they are official. Also love how the bounce affect from Jaune when he lands looks similar to the symbol on his shield. Also! Harriet has a point. Speed semblances would usually require a momentum from a running start and physical connection from kinetic energy but... Ruby almost flies when she uses her semblance. She always spins when moving and she doesn’t seem to touch anything to gain momentum. I’m curious as to see where Rooster Teeth plan to take this

my theory or thoughts on Ruby's speed semblance. If she's that fast enough to make herself and others move the way she dose and be able to split in two, then i think Ruby's true semblance will give her the ability to make copies of herself. Shes that fast she can split into multiples of herself.

19:07 You know, now that I think about it, that could’ve been VERY subtle foreshadowing. Because when Tyrian attacked, everyone was wondering how Marrow couldn’t see what was going on. People figured out that it was because not all faunus can see in the dark and Marrow just happened to be one of the few that can’t, but while it’s possible that Marrow couldn’t fit through the gap, it might also have been because he wouldn’t have been able to see.

It’s very hypocritical to shame someone for not being honest with you and then with the exact same information you keep secrets about it. I agree with Ruby that Ironwood would lose his cool once he learns that Salem can’t be killed. My main concern is Team Rwby doesn’t tell Ironwood that Salem can’t be destroyed. And without knowledge of this Ironwood tells to world to kill Salem. And then the world goes boom 💥 All because Ruby didn’t tell Ironwood the truth. 😔 I really hope this doesn’t happen because I don’t want the whole world to go boom 🤯

At the beginning of the episode clover called the mine a labyrinth, and then we see the Brand from Adam on one of the crates, and Adam isn't just a reference from Beauty and the Beast he's also a reference to the Minotaur. and the Minotaur was in the Labyrinth so I wonder if Adam used to work in that mine or something?

15:50 Aura can allow people to withstand cold for prolonged periods. Or, at least, that was my understanding of that scene. Shouldn't come as a surprise, either. When I wrote my own V6, where they already went to Atlas, I wrote it in that people's aura can allow them to remain outside in the cold without any adverse effects. It made sense, as early as then. But, it's only advantageous to those who unlock their aura and have learned enough control. Civilians, I suppose, wouldn't have the luxury, hence why they need whatever technology they rely on to warm their homes and all. 17:10 Oh, I think they realized their hypocrisy, as soon as they heard Ruby answer Ironwood by omitting certain things. They just rolled with it, trusting Ruby. And if any of them would have said anything, Ironwood would've become suspicious at that exchange, so they quickly knew to remain silent, for the time being and talk it out later. 22:10 The camaraderie between members of the Ace Ops, as well as their interaction with the students feels natural and benign. Their personalities are all likeable. I hope they don't turn on them, or rather, I hope they won't be forced/ordered for whatever reason. Or, if they do have to go against them, I hope they'll be clearly conflicted about it, showing they're not bad people. 29:10 *sigh* 30:10 Aaaand the (emotional) roller coaster goes doooown.
