@@twinodoom I believe he's a Panther faunus. His name comes from Bageera from The Jungle Book, Bageera being the name of the Panther who helps Mowgli. Sienna Khan, the previous leader of White Fang (as another example) and a tiger faunus, was likely named after Shere Khan the tiger. The theme is rather obvious after that. Actually, White Fang was probably named after the book by Jack London of the same name by the creators of RWBY. There's almost always a clear origin for names in the show. Hope that helps 🙂

Blue eyes are a recessive gene that is believed to come from an unique ancestor, they were hunted by some cultures that believed that blue eyes were werewolves, look how much they had spread now, as stigma towards faunus disappear in Remnant these relationships are slowly going to become more and more common which will result in a bigger faunus population, resulting in more human-faunus couples an so on, it will probably take hundreds of years but can definitely happen.

The negativity that came from the belief that the Faunus were slowly driving your people to die out would probably make the Grimm come running, too. Along comes Bek - at a guess, he's another creation of the Tree in Ever After - who decides to equalize the warring sides of human and animal. Thinking surely things would be better once everyone was the same. As it turns out, humanity doesn't bother telling apart their former fellow humans from former literal wildlife to un-metamorphosed still-wildlife. _Awesome._

I put a lot of thought into the biology of Faunus and humans on Remnant one day a while back. The question I had was, "What if the faunus and humans are of the same species?" Their biology and reproductive rules alone tell a story.

Personally, I think Humans and Faunus are the same species. They are completely genetically compatible, which means they produce fertile offspring, which can only happen with the same species. I personally believe either Salem created the new generation of Humans and Faunus, some just looked different from others. My other idea is Faunus traits are the result of a genetic mutation which was isolated over time and is passed on. Overall, Faunus are human, just with a little more. Also note that most Faunus typically have the ability to see in the dark as well as some heightened abilities, such as Blakes extra ears giving her better hearing. I think the tradeoff is being more sensitive to loud noises or bright light.

I still want to hear about team CFVY. Admittedly, I get it. Team RWBY is awesome. But team CFVY seems amazing and I want to see that as well and have them. become characters again. Also, the last part from Qrow about tipping points. It helps me sympathize with the White Fang, their message and goal, but the ends do not justify the means in this case.

The Remnants Of Life It’s hard to actually sympathize with the White Fang because the racism element is rarely shown or explored. The only time it was is when Weiss was still racist but by the end of Volume 1 she stopped being racist and that was really the only time when the show explored it further in way of showing this. The racism element is basically delegated to background dialogue and that’s honestly sad because they could’ve redeemed this plot line in a number of ways.

I have never watched RWBY, but recently I’ve been interested in the main cast (and Qrow) but I don’t know if it is worth watching it as whole or without the first season (because of the stiff animation) also I don’t have a clue where to watch the episodes, but I think the KZbin channel has them all...

Now all that's missing is proper discrimination on the show itself to make it all fit in with the lore. Sure, there was a bully bullying a faunus, a few "no faunus'" signs and saying "certain people" when referring to faunus', not to mention Adam and Illia's backstories ect, but on screen discrimination has been pretty low...

I hope that Black sun is more of a thing than Bumblebee, and rose garden more than white rose, I view team RWBY as sisters, not girlfriends, Fight me! Plus, I hate how it was mostly a toxic fandom that made the writers add all those Bumblebee scenes, I love the show, but the fandom can be extremely toxic and opinionated, making it hard for new viewers to come in.

Look up "The Shallow Sea" and you may get an 'origin' story of how faunus came about. But alas its a fairytale so its anyone's guess how they came to be. Maybe the gods wanted mankind to look deep within themselves and embrace their 'nature' but as stated humans didnt wish to face that which was different from them.

However I'm less disappointed, sure they could have come out with something new, and I'd like that more, but it looks to me like a hint, that their's going to be some important content about the fanuse in the next season which does sound good to me.
