Kevin Christian Real life obligations made me want to just enjoy the rare times I have to work on cars. Two kids and a doctorate program keep me pretty busy. Lol. But seriously, the amount of work it takes to film and edit content can take away a lot of the fun of wrenching so I decided to take a break from content creation and just enjoy it for awhile. I have a big project I’m about to start that I plan to document for the channel, but I wanted to get the backlogged projects finished and uploaded before getting lost in hundreds of hours of footage from a new build. So there will probably be a few more random uploads in the next few weeks before that project debuts.

this is very temping and very helpful to see. Have been thinking about doing the spline RWD conversion on my 07 for a while and this is so nice to see it all apart and how it actually works

Guys I’ll add that if your car makes decent power even the r180 will die as well as driveshafts, ended up having to upgrade from the tail shaft back and out to the hubs

Hey ive been asking arnd i have a 07 sti it is rwd swaped and has hub in the trans and in hub for axle but the pronlem im haveing is im getting a p0502 code which i assume is because the wheel speed is diffrent from wut the trans is reading but would you have any idea of how to fix this

When I was putting in my welded center spool, the shifter linkage pin was a huge pain in the ass. Had to use a bottle Jack and a punch to get it out lol

Ok I love your videos. I have a weird off topic question for anyone to answer. What is the difference between the 5speed off of a 97 impreza 1.8l and the 5speed off of a 99 impreza 2.5rs. Thanks!

Cole Skins depending on when it was made in 97, it could be a phase 1 transmission. If it’s a late year production, I think it should be a phase 2, which is the same as the 99 Impreza. They look fairly different if you google pictures of them. Beyond that, the only difference is going to be the front diff gear ratio. I’m not totally sure, but I think the 1.8’s had taller gears? I might be wrong on that though.
