Right under it was Fred's Boss N-word and Joshua. I wound up watching both of em. Man Fred was a Baad mutha...you know the rest. @@ladygemini5967 that's Billy Beck on keyboard. A lotta people think that's Junie - but there are hardly any performances of when Junie was with OP except Soul Train. He stepped back to solely produce the OP's and chose Billy Beck to handle keyboard. Billy ended up being a master on keyboards. Junie left grouo and Sugarfoot, Diamond & BIlly Beck took reign writing, arranging and producing the majority of the hits the OP are known for. Diamond, Billy and Chet (guitarist far left on stage) killed background vocals...especially on recordings. And Sugarfoot...a legend .

@@wesgriffin6081 So the OP signature falsetto harmonies were Billy, Diamond, and Chet? Chet was a falsetto too? Was it the 3 of them singing on Sweet Sticky Thing? I’m sorry for the Barrage of questions. I have searched the Web trying to find an article on these harmonies! So unique. In some of these performance videos I have seen, I thought the higher singing might be Billy and Diamond, but I wasn’t certain. Please tell everything you know. This so unique. The Arp String Ensemble, while somewhat cheesey in comparison to the realistic orchestral string sounds and samples of today. The instrument was masterfully used in totally different ways by Billy Beck, and Parliament Funkadelics Bernie Worrell. Beck used it orchestrally and primarily in the upper registers to approximate a violin section, Worrell on the other hand used it in a way that lent an etheral other worldly quality and tonality to Parliament Funkadelics compositions. A truly classic instrument in the hands of two mastsr musicians!

You're so right and although, Sly and the Family Stone may have initiated that music style true enough. Leroy "Sugarfoot" Bonner was the one whom perfected it. As he created a vocal music styling to fit his own flow, personality and style. All the others that you named off did indeed adopt his style and further added their own flow and personality to their own songs all from his influence. Sugar and all the original Players in that line up were True Innovators. Their musical skills influenced countless musicians during their hey day and time. They in essence were ahead of their time. Thus adding to the reason for them not getting the real attention, recognition and accolades that they beyond a shadow of a doubt deserved. "Sugar" as Diamond the Players drummer had stated in the past. "Sugar" were their Mick Jaggar...
