Best of luck in your studies, there. Don't worry too much about the books ; get the gross anatomy and physiology down and the rest scarcely matters. Even if you answer a question about, say, pharmacology, with,"I'm not sure about the exact answer, but here is how the ascending aorta splits to provide blood to the heart first, and then the... etc. etc.", you might well get a few points provided you're correct! Again - good luck and my best wishes... and don't let the cadavers' smell put you off.

The Pomodoro technique is really amazing I tried it and it helps remember most of the info, I tried it several times
@arlenemuhammad98535 жыл бұрын
I never knew someone already came up with these methods. This is what I do and this is what I taught other people in order to memorize lessons. Exa. Reading something and flipping the paper over and repeating what you learned. Studying after you've learned something. Studying again after a good night sleep. Taking breaks to relax your mind or doing something fun or recreational then go back and study. Also remembering where on a page and what page you read about a certain subject.

Similar to your audio technique and mind palace, I record something I want to remember, then play it back while I'm walking around my neighborhood. I then repeat the walk in my mind and I seem to remember what I was listening to as I mentally pass each house.

'Trust your memory' is huge for me. The fact that I don't, shows up in my below average reading-speed and is the biggest cause of me losing my current job, too. I constantly doubt my memory whether I'm listening or reading I doubt if I heard it correctly when a customer asked me a question, I doubt if I've read that right when I'm trying to retrieve an answer for them from the database.. I've been reading this book that's supposed to teach you speed- reading and it was an eye opener for me to become conscious of my eyes going back automatically every few words.. Then I forced (as advised in the book) my eyes to follow a reading aid: a pen, finger across the sentences at a higher speed than I am comfortable with and not let my eyes go back (very difficult as it has become a reflex). The book provides you with little tests where you "speed-read" around 1500 words and then presents you with 15 questions about what you've read. I was hella surprised I could answer about 80% correct every time after reading the material only once. Thank you for making this video. Knowing even someone like you has to go over stuff more than once to memorise it in some cases puts things in perspective. Makes me feel less incompetent and like there is hope for me. Realising I am wasting so much time and energy worrying and that clearly I am not alone in this either.
