I have 5 XFX 5600xt Thicc III Pro Without modding were around 105 to 117w and anything more than 1750mem will cause a crash so was only getting 38,3mhs Tried to mod myself but bricked the card in every try, but a crazy thing: the MSI modded BIOS works fine, only difference is that the new BIOS has 0rpm so in order to avoid the card going from 0 to 80% fan all the time, you need to disable that setting in AMD or in the miner The cards with 1000mhz and 710mv core, 1750 mem are consuming 100w and giving 41,3mhs The rig also has 2 msi gaming mx consuming only 82w each

Usually if it crashes in windows you just have to load the settings again, so best thing to do is to save your settings as a profile and then load them after it crashes and tweak it a bit so it doesn't crash again then your set! Thank you!

I snagged a 5600xt just in time right before new year. @@carlgaebe8699 Do Not try to bios update the 5600xt Challenger Pro it will not work; This card sucks and will only hit 38-39 mh/s with all overclock possible. It wont even stay stable at 1860mhz and will green screen constantly. 1830 is as high as it will go and be stable.

@Mining chamber i have a big problem, my RX 5600 XT has a problem. it crashing everytime, get sometimes green or black screen or just resset herself back to standart options. I deleted AMD programm and installed only Driver and it still doing same, even when people say it fix the problem. I use nicehash and RX 5600 XT and it should run 38 mh /S @ 80 Watt, but after 5-20 min the driver crash and resset everything and it run again with 120 watt. Even when i use other driver , it doesnt help . I use MSI burner and also deleted it and used ONLY AMD tool and it doesnt help. i dont understand why? why is my RX 5600 XT and nicehash crashing and resset themself back to normal setting automatically?

I honestly think it's a great card! Very diverse and powerful anddd effecient. It's just really hard to find them for a good price (MSRP) So if you can get your hands on one for a good price then you should go for it absolutely! (Not a financial advice!!)

I believe so, I think you have to load the BIOS in Red Bios editor and load in it the MPT configuration after that you will need to flash the card with the new BIOS very similar to how we did it in our 5700 XT video. I don't think "Write SPPT" will affect the card if you run it on a different OS

Hey! I think Zotac is better but In general almost all 3090s and 3080s have thermal issues so they might need a thermalpad replacement. I don't have any settings for that gpu yet but I recommend checking other content creators I'm sure they do!

I have some questions because the numbers that are shown on that list dont make sense, so im probably missing something. My brother just started experimenting mining with his sytem which was already built and it s average at best. He has a middle range graphics card only, running with a ryzen 5. He mined through nicehash and he let the program choose the "best cryptocurrencies" to mine. He made $30 dollars in 7 days an he only did it in average between 8 to 12 hours. That s aprox. $4 per day. So I have to ask, what am I missing?

That is quite interesting, what gpu is he using? One thing to note is that around last week there was a crazy spike in the market due to high transactions, so profits did jump pretty high but now it is back to the "normal" while Ethereum goes up = more profits

Software watts is not accurate although yes it should be lower than that. You can try lowering voltage!

We messed up our math and forgot to include the wattage off the wall visually 😅 so the system is taking 150-155 watts and we will take 60 watts for system so we are left with 90-95 watts for gpu so I think you might be good. What's your undervolt at?

It would be the exact same process except youl select "gpu 2". If you have more than one gpu you will be able to select through them in AMD software. Check our 5700 XT mining rig build video for an example!

As long as you backed up original bios you should be fine! Did you make sure to unlock Rom and then try to flash? Also run as admin

@@MiningChamber I did try the unlock in command prompt but from what I remember it said it wasn't needed so I proceeded with creating a backup and it created a ROM backup around 1mb in size and every program throws out error 0FL01 when trying to flash it back. All this was done following to a T from red panda's video on the same card.

If it doesn't then try to reinstall the tool and give a try to 3.04+ amdvbflash and the other versions. If the error says not matching IDs then you just need to open the original BIOS in RBE and edit the ID to match the other one

i tried this with my xfx rx 5600 xt thic iii ultra (triple dissipation) and its not working. it wont boot and i need to reflash it back using the dual bios switch. even with the bios on gputech are not working. seems like the only thing that works on my card are those official bios from manufacturer site. by the way im getting 38mhs @ 95w from the software. i can push it up to 42mhs ish but wont lasts and crashes.

@@MiningChamber I noticed that the bios from the manufacturer site is .W8 file while on gputech is .rom file. Mine works only with .w8 file. Tried converting from .rom to .w8 wont work either lol. Now im using 5600xt pro ii bios, same as yours and it works (ufficial bios)...and even better. Now hashing at 42ish @95w from software without crashing.

Make sure you properly undervolt. Usually up to 95c can be seen but try to keep it at most 90

Hello from Turkey i modded msi rx 5600xt mech oc and i think it go brick. i didn't use this mod i modded it with red bios editor. worker goes offline when i put in it to the rig. i tried everything but rig doesn't be online. if i put another gpu it opens online and workes but when i put in rx 5600xt it didn't be online ever.Before mod it was working

That means it bricked yes. Watch Guntis Vitolins video on how to recover the GPU. I didn't show any bios mod guide I this video due to that!

Well all the guides will be the same steps. So make sure your following the steps right! There isn't many ways to recover it so just attempt that or look up answers on google for issues you ran into doing that guide

I got some new RX5600xt in a week or two ago(MSI,GIGABYTE, SAPPHIRE). I tried to flashing the bios with just timing change and all it did was brick the card. anyone have any idea on what happened. AMD Driver don't see it as a AMD gpu any more

Usually flashing it if it's a locked bios or such it will lead to that. You will need to recover it flashing the original bios on it which I hope you saved ! So plug 2 cards in or just one ( the bricked one) if your able to get display out of your motherboard then flash original bios on the card

Hey! Unfortunately bios modding might not work for all 5600 xt like mentioned in the video. Now try to recover it using your original bios by flashing it on it again. Check online on a couple of ways to do it
