RX300 Rear Door Actuators

Hi all,
Replaced all my actuators on my 2000 RX300 since sometimes other work sometimes other don't, and I needed to program my fob... You can not program or add a fob if one of the actuators does not work. Bought the parts from Amazon as a set for less than 56 bucks! Pls fix at your own risk, I am not responsible for anything. Thanks for watching!

WATCH THIS VIDEO. At 6 minutes, Car-Lo mentions a small part that fits into a small plastic "U" embedded in the door. In my first attempt to place the actuator, I did not get it right. After I got the actuator back in the door, I reached in and I could feel it was not in. I have watched 4 of these videos, and this is the ONLY ONE to mention it. If you don't get this part in right, your door will not open, and I assume he is right when he says you will have to destroy your door to get it open. ALSO: Before you take the actuator out of the door, TAKE OFF the switch from the door. He does not show this. When I took the actuator mechanism out, the actuator mechanism was hanging down from the switch and its weight broke the plastic collar around one of the cables, making the cable (and of course the whole mechanism) non functional. I thought I was going to have to replace the cable, but I was able to McGiver it to get it to work. I'm not going to go into detail on how I did that, just make sure you don' let the actuator mechanism hang down off the switch. ALSO, pay very close attention to how he "wiggles" the actuator mechanism to get it out. It took me 30 minutes to get mine out, and even longer to get it back in. Eventually I needed another person to pull on the bottom of the frame hole while at the same time pushing in the window frame from within the door to get it back in. I had a very tough time getting it back in. good luck.

Thank you for posting this. It really helped me when I was replacing my door lock actuator. Especially the tip about putting the lock knob mechanism inside the U-shaped clip. Very helpful.

HELP, I cant open my door from the inside or OUT! How can I get it opened to do this job? Would a slim jim work??? UGH its my drivers door too! Thanks for any help!!!

Hi i get a mistake and now the door is no open , how can i remove the panel if can’t open the door ? I need to broke the panel ?

Happened to me once from another Lexus I opened it from the inside clear the panels and surroundings covers and slide the seat back so you will have room to pop it.
