I saw little village in Toronto at Massey hall. Such a great show featuring all my favorite musicians. Best super group ever. Would love to see them get back together for another tour and record.

in my humble opinion, this is the best bitter breakup song of all time, bar none. where did this song come from anyway? Was it a Nick Lowe song? it's not on the little village album, although I have an excellent live bootleg from the Warwick Theater in San Francisco where they played this and it was just magnificent. A shame that the sound quality isn't better here, I really can't hear the bass at all....but it's just a great song. the studio album always sounded kind of flat and dull to me, but the live performances that I've heard and seen on KZbin or various bootlegs have all been very high-energy.

Get John Hiatt's great album, Bring the Family. They're all on there, too. And the songs are better (all penned by JH).

John Hiatt recorded a couple of albums with Lowe, Cooder, and Keltner as session men backing him. He decided they really ought to be an actual band, and Little Village was born. But despite a superb album and inspired performances, they never reached an audience and clicked commercially, so one album was all we got. Keltner is gone now. Cooder is still active, and Lowe has an assortment of projects and pops up in all sorts of places.
