Great stuff!! Another way of looking at it. 1. Get a gainer flash (I cant cheat gainer, but I gainer flash) 2. Get a standing full twist (off a height, just so you know the motion). 3. Mix em together. Cork. Sooooo much easier than a standing full. Thats how I got em. I love my corks. Thanks Ryan :)

Don't corks actually have a 540 spin, not a 360? Because a lot of people think it's a 360, but if you actually think about it it has to be a 540. You know. You're coming out of the J-Step and your going into the cork, your facing up. So a 360 spin, you'd be facing up again. So to land it you have to turn over an extra 180 to land.
@TheNicke978 жыл бұрын
+Parkour Community I understand your thinking, but it's quite far from a 540, only 180* but it's the jump from the J-step when it starts to count, not the start of the J step ;)
@i.t88908 жыл бұрын
+Niclas Silfverberg well I know that, but I meant once he starts to jump and starts spinning in the air. It has to be a 540 spin because he starts facing the sky, he spins and faces the sky again (that's one) then he turns an extra 180
@zenixtricking45046 жыл бұрын
Yes it is a 540 spin due to the set up into the move

The cork have nothing to do with the btwist!!! Ryan you are a good athlete and of course there are many people like you that thinks about the twist of the cork as a btwist but this perspective works only for this kind of people..... all the other people that are not able to twist properly needs to learn the twist understanding before the arabian, so an half twist, then to complete the twist with the other half. The last method is the real twisting technique, your approach is just a perspective that works just for a part of people..... i tried for years to follow your tutorial crashing my back thousand times... when i learnt in the other way i finally got the cork! By the way... thank you! You inspired me! Greetings from Italy!

Have you seen any other tutorials on the very same skill? Someone of Ryan's caliber should be putting out much more informative, useful information. His ignorance to his own sport is simply offensive. "It's called a j-step because you make the letter 'J' in the air"... Not even remotely true. Maybe even a negative percent true...

@AsyndicateA basically the aeial and b kick are helping you to learn the cheat gainer so cartwheel is prereq for aerial and b twist just helps you to twist thats why you learn them before but yes you can learn it without that but knowing those tricks will help a ton

@parkour07king a cheat gainer is j-step then when you're upside down, you kind of side flip out, a kick the moon is a j-step flash kick.

He constantly iterates originality and uniqueness, to not listen to him or anyone else in forming one's own conception of what PK/FR are. To any extent his teaching style differs from your norm, he's simply teaching "Ryan Doyle style", heeding his own creed. Your points may have some weight against a novice, but his resume is so thick (2x world champion, director of a PKFR academy, etc etc..), that it should signal he has do be doing something right in the "world" he inhabits and teaches from.

Make sure you keep your legs straight and whip them over, also using the hand closest to you as the only hand in your cartwheel can be a lot easier as if you use the hand furthest away you have to dive into it, while possible it can be more difficult to do it like that.

Finaly!!!!!!! I did a j step gainer with about 45 twist. i fell like dojng a sideflip gainer. if I try to twist more to 180 I will do a cork! it's amazing. I've been training this about a month in my bed!!!It's my favourite move. Your tutorial ryan is good and helped me, but all the b twist aerial .... aren't necesary. you had to teach a backflip, then a gainer, then j step and then cork.

@AptrixMedia Here are some advices for the cartwheel. First, bend your power(dominant) leg to have a better push. Secondly, point your toes to have straight legs. If your legs aren't still straight, push strongly with your muscles(quadricepts) toward the sky. I hope it helped. I can't do a cork :(

I'll have you know, Ryan Doyle was never a tricker until later on, he decided to do a little bit of tricking. Even to this day he still travels the parkour way, just getting from A to B flawlessly. Of course he will do a couple of tricks, but no, he isn't a tricker. Yes he owns a school, no I'm not mocking him, I wish him luck, but he isn't a tricker. A tricker is a parkour extremist who constantly does tricking throughout A to B.
