@@JHSmithmusic If I had to take a guess probably one of the EQs in the chain. You can easily get that kind of sound but putting a high pass filter around 400 Hz and a low pass filter around 4,000 Hz. Season to taste and you should be close.

@@JHSmithmusic Personally I'd place it post amp but tinker around and you might find a sound you like either way.

I have the helix LT, and Fluff is spot on. It really doesn't get any easier than this. Easy setup, easy teardown, near limitless tone possibilities. Easily the best investment I've made.

I bought my Helix rack and Helix control from Sweetwater and now my Mark V stays in my room and use it just to record some demos but not longer to gig with , the ease of use and portability of the Line6 Helix and the quality of sound are really great .

Greetings from Florida! I just got back from a 7 day road trip from Orlando to New Orleans, Memphis, St. Louis, Davenport, Chicago, Ft. Wayne of COURSE for SWEETWATER Campus (Got to meet my sales rep of over 10 years how cool is that?), Carmel, Indianapolis, Louisville, Nashville, and Atlanta....Sweetwater may have been the highlight of the trip....what an amazing experience. Keep up the good work Sweetwater!

Made the switch to a Helix about 3 months ago. Fluff's videos helped me make the move. No regrets about it, and don't have plans for a new amp!

As someone who’s recently switched from an analog amp to the HX Stomp & Power Amp for live settings, you really hit a point in realizing that no one live can tell the difference or would even care. I can PERSONALLY tell the difference between a real analog head and a modeler but in a live setting where I’m having to get on and off the stage as fast as possible, it’s makes the most sense to switch to something like the stomp & a power amp. I’ve had some bad interactions with Fluff in the past resulting in me stopping being a fan of his but what he says here for gigging musicians is spot on.

Using a power amp into a real cab really makes modellers work well. I personally can't use IRS into frfrs.

This is a great video, I love my Helix! (which I got at Sweetwater - thanks Simon!) As Fluff notes I love amps, volume etc... but it's so easy to just plug in and go while knowing you are going to get the exact sound you expect.

I'm a Mesa Boogie Lonestar Classic Player. I've used the Helix only for effects and routing. After an update we've got the "REEL" which included saturation. Now I can use my Helix with amp sims as well and it works fine...

Put Saran Wrap on your pedalboard. I saw that in a rig rundown with Neal Schon. You can still use all of the pedals with ease and they won’t get damaged by any kind of liquid that falls on them.

@@TVoltG I’ve had both. Helix is ok. Interface is crap and has issues keeping up cpu wise loading certain things. Quad cortex is just another level completely. It has the feel there too. At this point the helix is 6 years old. They will release helix 2 soon I think. We live in a great time for guitar gear and modelling especially.
@0megalul309
@0megalul309 2 жыл бұрын
Helix sounds good to those who have never tried the real things. Pretty sure fluff has better options but line 6 can afford to pay people to use their gear over the superior options and that a valid reason cos we all need to make ends meet.

@truthfactreality6814 2 жыл бұрын
@@0megalul309 I think it’s just a weight factor. I have 2 100 watt Marshalls and 4x12 cabs etc. but I would just take my neural dsp quad cortex with captures etc if I went on tour. I’m 40 years old and love the old amps but I don’t like carrying them anymore and the technology now is so good
