The fact that Ryan chose to perform cups and balls to P&T just shows that fooling them ain't the real reason he's here. Giving his son exposure and experience is. Great father indeed. Huge respect to both Ryan and Johnny.

A lot of tricks on the show are just filler. In these cases, there's no intention of fooling Pen And Teller. The show is first about entertainment, not fooling. And, even most of the time the duo claims to be fooled, they weren't.

I'm not a magician, but I know some magicians, and usually, I can follow everything they do when they do cups & balls. With your four hands, I could not follow all the moves, even if I manage to guess correctly what you did and when. One of the greatest versions of cups & balls I've ever seen! Well done!
@a20axf3 жыл бұрын
Absolutely, they were fascinating and Ryan is such an entertaining performer! I think it makes it even more impressive when you know how it's done but, the execution is so high quality that you can't catch them. I may have spotted something a couple of times but, not well enough to say for definite although it would've made sense logically.
@henrytawnn86942 жыл бұрын
Penn & Teller do a cups and balls routine with clear plastic cups, and even then, they do it so fast, I have to slow it down to see all the moves. It's a simple trick but done flawlessly, just like the Hayashi's.

In Jazz music, there are "standards" - a set of songs from up to 100 years ago which never go out of style. Every musician will encounter them, great musicians will bring a new interpretation or twist, and once in a blue moon you'll get an incredible musician who will take an old song that's been heard so many times, and bring it to a completely new level. That's what you did with cups and balls. So entertaining - wish you the very best of luck!

I think P&T don't let just anyone come on and do cups and balls. Ryan and Johnny's rendition is so entertaining and fun. But so is also the other bloke that did cups and balls on Fool Us. Penn made some comment then that it isn't the song it's the signer. And I've seen... four versions of cups and balls now and even though I see some of the moves I still find it to be thoroughly entertaining and fun to watch. So thank you Ryan and Johnny for adding the fourth version of cups and balls to my... well mental playlist of this routine. It's so much fun to watch Ryan perform and also see his son perform as well.
