I've been a Bears fan since I was 10 years old in 1965. I loved watching players like Sayers and Butkus. Watching Sayers break ankles and wear out defenses and Butkus crushing the life out of the enemy! I remember Bobby Douglas and the endless hit parade of failed QBs... until the miraculous '85 Bears and Jim McMann came along. The rest of Bears' history, aside from persistent flashes like Walter, seems like just a blur. Maybe they need new owners.

Keeping Eberflus all but guaranteed that this was going to happen. All the assistance coaches either leaving or fired during the last couple of seasons. Losing but we understand it's a rebuild but expectations were different but the team's record is worse this year. Remember Warren wanted Poles to fire Eberflus last off-season because he didn't do anything to stay and Poles forced the Bears to do the same exact things as they had before by not aligning the HC to CW like they should have

Poles needs to go. The offensive line is in tatters because of a bunch of bad decisions by Poles. There is no excuse for not having a competent center in year 3 of a rebuild. The pick that was traded for Chase Claypool, the pick that was traded for Sweat, the pick that was burned on Tyrique Stevenson, any one of those picks could have been used to add a competent center. The money that Poles lit on fire to sign Edmunds and Davis could have been used to sign a competent center. Not only do the Bears need a center, they need a right guard, they need a left tackle, and they are going to either have to spend a bunch of money to sign Teven Jenkins, or acquire a left guard as well. Plus, they need offensive line depth. In sum, after three years of Poles, the Bears maybe have a competent right tackle under contract. And the problem isn't due to injuries. The Bears didn't lose an All-Pro lineman to injury. Poles simply chose not to invest in the line, and to the limited extent that he did, he mostly made bad decisions. The best thing that Poles has done is give Jaylon Johnson a new contract. Thank God for Ryan Pace, because without his draft picks, the roster would be a wasteland. Fire Poles!

Now Chicago turns their back upon him? C'mon... I do like what he has done with the Bears. JF1 is slightly lesser than Caleb but still he had the foresight and courage to make that call. JF1 isn't a bad QB. Justin needed the Steeelers. The Bears was offering him the right structure to build and become the franchise QB. The current generation of McCaskeys have brought great shame to an organization that a great man built. The reason for all this is strictly financial. Most children of Virginia live off or get salaries from the organization. This is why the Bears have such a hard time attracting top talent outside of players. Eberflus was cheap compared to other top talent coaches. Ben Johnson will probably get an 8 million dollar contract and Eberflus was 4.5.
