I was never a big fan of Ryan Reynolds. He was just an actor I never really liked. I must admit however, that he’s really growing on me (that came out wrong, or did it?) especially after seeing Deadpool and Wolverine. Reynolds standing his ground is a beautiful thing! He should be able to rub that billion dollars is Iger’s arrogant face. You would think a movie that makes over a billion dollars would prove to Iger and the Disney Board to leave their woke agenda behind because it doesn’t make money. There are many people who loved Star Trek because they were represented in the core characters of the show, prompting many to have ambition that surpassed what the white-oriented society wanted them to achieve. I don't think Bob Iger understands the purpose of BlackRock's and Vanguard's DEI requirements. Hollywood was very white in terms of the creatives and the crew. The DEI score was supposed to encourage more hiring of minorities and women BEHIND the camera. It wasn't a requirement of the PRODUCT. Presumably having more minorities writing and directing would result in a more diverse product eventually, but you can't reverse-engineer the process by insisting that the stories themselves emphasized DEI. I think Bob Iger himself has some kind of fetish about this because it makes no sense. These DEI movies are not only execrable in themselves, they are kind of racist, like the old "race films" of the 30s or the Blaxsploitation films of the 70's. These weren't necessarily bad films but the concept of putting minorities into their own films IS racist. Disney is a very big place, so I don't see why the Deadpool films can't exist in their own silo. Do you have to smear DEI all around to every film? What if you wanted to make films like "The Godfather" and "Midnight Cowboy?" Would you insist on populating these films with "magical DEI characters" to balance out the cast?

As soon as they see anything profitable or marketable their first instinct is to add DEI to it. Why? Just so it could reach a larger audience. That’s it.
