The amount of discipline that goes into both strongman and bodybuilding training is nothing to be scoffed at. Can’t skip the hard work in either case. Much respect.

Okay, after reading a few comments, my heart stopped racing. obviously this is an older video that just had a delayed release. Phuh! Silly me, of cause he wouldn't be that stupid to attempt something like that. And if he did, he would seriously injure himself long before he reached a 100kg.

Hafthor at the end of heavy long hours of training muscles can lock up. Even hydrating your best when you use it all up that's what happens and I'm so use to it, you're body is conditioned to burn and fire it to the max I'm sure that's why you have the ability to really fire it up and you know you can take it very far.
@mikerude50739 ай бұрын
Hafthor, are you considering a goal shift? Training for bodybuilding, for your physique, would still give you a goal to work toward. The risk of injury is far less, as you can build muscle using moderate weight with higher volume. It might be relatively safer for health too as you wouldn't need to get as heavy as for powerlifting. Jón Páll would approve, he did it too. Look up Dr. Mike Israetel, a competitive powerlifter who made the switch to bodybuilding and the changes to his training, which both were safer and built even more muscle. He's become an expert, or THE expert, in the field. I'm sure he'd love to come out to Iceland to do seminars too. If you ever do bring him out there make him eat rams nuts.
