If you would have ran the cable from the other side, u would have way less cable, and no fear of cable getting tangled up in the chain. Just a thought.

how does it stop? compared to a rear brake setup. also love the patina of your mini. throw that cover outside for a few weeks.

Stops very well, will even skid if squeezed hard enough. Requires adjustment every so often depending on how often you use it. I still flintstone it most of the time, the breaks for emergency's LOL

You still have to be careful I just installed the same brake system on my minibike and I have a brand-new drum break, if the cable snaps on the drum brake I’ll use the clutch brake if the chain breaks you can’t use the clutch brake so I have to depend on the Drum break. So I got all corners covered. When you got your minibike putting out 18 hp and you have ii geared to do 70 miles an hour better have two brake systems ha ha ha ha

you hooked up your cable backwards......free end of cable goes on floating side of drum......not fixed side

RyanFamilyAdventures .. You'll have more Torque by installing the cable correctly through the front which is the way it is supposed to be done.. For a period of time Michrina Bros. / LiL Indian used the clutch brake around 72-73. Also, Google 'Ruttman' Minibike pictures. Every Ruttman model used the clutch brake and the cable was installed through the front.. The cable draws the band up tighter , ensuring a much better stop ! ...👊😎

It really doesn't matter. On a mini bike it helps reduce cable cutting and running around frame. On a kart yes definitely other way because you want it in line with the pedal. And at least he did a honest video crap happens.

Rides on housing. It's not going to do much. You'd probably have to replace the clutch anyway before that would ever become a problem

You should not do this! A clutch is supposed to stay cool! This will make the clutch warm and not work properly. Look up Max torque clutches on KZbin on how they’re made.
