Super old video but extremely helpful, thank you. 8 years later and it still holds true…if you ain’t willing to lose the lure, you ain’t catching many fish.

Man what a great video. Thanks for taking the time to break down the strategy you put into it. A lot of people call this lake the Dead Sea, and I couldn't disagree more.

Good tutorial👍 I know it's not a big deal, but generally baits with a darker side and a lighter side are typically nose hooked so that the darker side is up (just like real fish coloration). You just proved that the "upside down" will work too. You're definitely working the HPA's well.

Great tips. I love bluffs and drop shotting
@RyanKennedyFishing7 жыл бұрын
I appreciate the support Ernest! Drop-Shotting around the bluff walls on Allatoona is one of my favorite techniques. Tight Lines!

I do the same thing here on Pickwick. One of my go to setups is a texas rigged Zoom Super Hog pitching to any irregularity in the bluffs.
@RyanKennedyFishing7 жыл бұрын
It's always awesome to see how many fish can stack up on those high percentage areas on miles of bluffs. I'll be over at Pickwick for the ACA Collegiate National Championship from May 20-26th. Always a fun place to put some time on the water.

Great video. I need to fish the lake . I will try the drop shot soon . Just got a John boat and ready to catch some fish.

Hey Edgar, Allatoona can be tough at times, but it definitely pays off to learn the lake. The drop shot is a key tool on Allatoona and can save a tough day really quick. TIght Lines!

great video....you caught more fish in your vid than in my lifetine fishing the "dead sea" as we called toona! can you tell me the equip you used to video?
@RyanKennedyFishing6 жыл бұрын
Hey Scott! I appreciate it! The equipment for filming in this video was actually only a GoPro Hero 3+ Black and an external wireless microphone. Some of my new videos use a larger camera such as a Sony a5100, but this video I was able to keep it nice and simple.

Sorry very broad question but me and my bro have gone several times fishing there for literally hours and haven't caught one fish. all nibbles. we fish off the dock near cauble park. any suggestions on what bait to use? we've tried worms and fake ones too also is there a certain motions we should be doing with rod or just keep it in there and sit? sorry. we just really wanna bring some fresh fish home to eat!!!
@anthonycooper85422 жыл бұрын
If you're getting nibbles with a bobber and worm, make sure to use a size 8 hook or smaller and it's pretty easy to catch some blue gill and stuff there. Just may have to throw a couple back before you get some eating size
