When he released the first one I was shocked at how many people were confused he was "getting political". He always was! He opened supported gay marriage years before it was legalized and socially acceptable to support it, talked about the realities of drug addiction and the doctors participating in it. He was always this way!

Have you heard of Lowkey? He raps a lot about this issue. I recommend his album "Soundtrack to the Struggle". I think there's a sequel or two for this album too, which I haven't heard yet. Macklemore deserves a lot of credit for making these songs considering his own ethnicity and popularity. I agree with your comment.

Either way if it is Palestine or Cannan, Isra*el has no right to claim it. Only the indigenous people living there have. Also, the name Palestine is mentioned in maps that back to the Greeks, the Roman Empire, and Ottoman Empire, and even the UK called Palestine in the Belfour Declaration that unlawfully granted Zi*on*ist European Immigrants part of it. All of this is before there was a "country" called Israel.
