Those first 30 seconds after he escapes the room are my favorite of any Bond movie. He is desperate, his back is against the wall, and there's no room for finesse. At that moment we see what he is truly capable of, and as Natalia's reaction shows it is absolutely terrifying and awful.

Still like Brosnan better than Craig's Bond. While I like Craig, Brosnan was still more of the dashing, lady's man the character was supposed to be...and occasionally you got scenes like this. Also, a lot of people miss it, but he switches guns in the staircase.

@@MostlyPennyCatAgreed. I think most people forget that earlier Bond was less of a dashing almost cartoon like superhero lady's man who always saves the day,but was actually a human being with actual emotions and limits and flaws in his character. I remember seeing someone review Lazenby's Bond as being unfaithful to the bond character due to how much more grounded he is throughout the movie and the moment where he's actually vulnerable following the ending

OK I prefer old school Bond movies but GoldenEye was very unique Action/Adventure movie - great storyline, impressive visual effects. This movie opened "The New Era Bond Movies". I can't say that Pierce Brosnan was #1 Bond but he looked great in this role. Sean Bean was perfect villain. Famke Janssen was brilliant Bond Girl - real bad ass. I also love Tina Turner's theme song - very memorable.

I think Pierce was the best Bond! He had everything, swag most use if gadgets, always doing something cool, great with the ladies, jokes always hitting the punches at the right time but the fight scenes wasn't the best but they weren't bad either. My Bond order is #1Pierce, 2# Roger Moore, thr Timothy Dalton movies were ok and you can put whoever is the best to you after two I posted. Who do you think was the best Bond? It definitely wasn't Craig at all, all his movies were bad except for the last one, even though it ended terribly.

@@irina1296 Craig was one of the worst for sure. He didn't fit the character at all. He is a very good actor but not a good fit for the bond roll. I do think the stunt choreography and fighting does however go's to Craig hands down above all the actors though but that's about it. I definitely respect your line up because all these guys were great. Dalton was cool though! Surprise me Q lol. One again, for me : #1 Pierce #2 Roger Moor was bad ass dude u gotta admit, he was also cool. Man pierce was just awesome. He had everything, he definitely didn't have the best fight scenes but they were good enough. He had the best swag for a bond character. Have u seen the November man with pierce? That was like his own James bond movie without the name. It was good. Why everybody hate die another day? That movie was great. The only drawback was I think they should've done more with Halley Berry's character though other than that, that was one of pierces best Bond movies. It was definitely better than the world is not enough.

The guards only came in when called. Not when heard the shots. That's being disciplined!

Not sure which is more unbelievable, Bond's endless magazine or the Russian's endless vodka flask. :)

I like Brosnan much more than the stoneface Craig. This is an amazing Bondmovie.

I think the most unrealistic thing of this whole scene is that the first Russian tank James picked actually worked.

All of the action and demolished buildings and vehicles and he doesn't have a spot of dust on his clothes or a hair out of place. Still one hell of a good movie. Best Bond ever. Not keen on DC.
