My brother in Christ, the Avalanche Run is a delay pedal first and foremost that happens to have 2 knobs dedicated to reverb. The Blue Sky is a dedicated reverb pedal with 9 combinations of reverb types/modes and 5 switches to adjust the parameters. They are not the same thing. Also, the ambient guitar gods demand that you stack your reverbs!

I love this pedal. Pricey though. How old is this pedal?

I have Big Sky and a Boss DD500, but now I’m considering ditching those two and get this one. What disadvantages did you find for a worship guitarist that only uses this pedal for both delay and reverb? Would you recommend a a separate delay or reverb unit anyway?
@bluepedalsrock92712 жыл бұрын
You have a cream of the crop reverb/delay combo and you’re considering ditching them for this? I would only do that if you’re looking to simplify your pedal board. But you’ll have more options/control with those two pedals. Don’t let a bad case of GAS (guitar acquisition syndrome) fool you into downgrading.

But if you’re truly hellbent on getting a single pedal that does delay+reverb, the Source Audio Collider is difficult to top. I have a big pedalboard and a small one. The small one is a tuner>distortion>Collider>looper. It’s a perfect minimalist (yet powerful!) ambient setup.

this one is amazing but too much expensive,do you know some cheaper alternative for a sound like this?

Checkout the dispatch master, a delay/reverb by EQD that this pedal was based on. It runs for $199 I believe

What do you think it is better, Old Blood Noise Endeavors Rever or this?
@srxiii22614 жыл бұрын
If it's still of any relevance, i'd say earthquaker and oldblood noise have the same philosophy. Their pedals have a "standard" side that does just what it's supposed to do and does it very, very well and an other side for quirky, weird, experimental stuff. In my opinion, earthquaker has more possibilities within that quirky realm, you really can push the boundaries whereas oldblood noise' quirky side is more...reasonable if that makes sense. To clarify if you need a big old space for experimentation and going completely crazy with sounds go with earthquaker. If you want your weird side to be a little bit more subtle or controlled go with oldblood.

The only positive thing i can think of about eqd pedals is that you can easily resell them at a descent price when you realise that for the same money or even less you can buy an actual good quality piece of gear.
