I've been using 5z for 6 good years by using custom ROM, the camera with gcam, the display, the design, the ui, lots of unique features, I've used it for gaming till last year and yeah I agree about the battery. Mine is still functioning well. I have the base model in blue. Although I have used newer phones since, I have always kept this. I'm not sure about the screen issue, but mine was actually good, albeit dimmer than its contemporaries. Sometime ago there was indeed talk about the earlier batches of the F1 had a bad screen and that the better ones are those that were made October 2018 and later. Mine was manufactured in November 2018. In the camera department, yes, I agree that it was not that good, but it is a fact though that it bested the iPhones and Samsung of the same year and came out second best (I forgot which one was voted the best then; I think it was a Huawei) in MKBHD's blind camera test. Before F1 I had the Razr Phone, and prior to that I had every Galaxy Note series, so I had my share of experience in flagship phones. On the build quality, I actually have dropped it multiple times about hip level and once accidentally threw it about several meters out into a rough pavement and it survived. I don't use cases but I do tempered glasses, and it survived all those tortures. Yes, nowadays there are some compatibility issues with its OEM Android 10, but it still can pretty much run graphically intensive games (just not Genshin) at high settings. I already replaced its battery once, but it still can pull through easily 8 hours of screen on time.

Iam watching this video from my poco F1... it's been 5 years iam using this device as my daily driver... . I changed the battery once like 1 year ago i have no issues with daily task and even normal gaming..i still play pubg mobile daily with somewhat frame drops and all... Indeed a legendary phone

my f1 is the reason why i decided to get a poco f6 pro as it's replacement. even after all the issues you can read online with the newer poco's, i still trust the brand due to my f1. i'll see if this f6 pro will hold up like how the f1 did.

I used to have a POCO F1. Loved using it. Now on the F4, custom-rommed to A14, soon to be A15.

This was the first phone I ever bought myself after actually seeing all the hype online. Beast of a phone man. I still miss the IR face unlock to this day.

I'm using a Poco F2 Pro 8/256 version for almost 4 years now and it's doing everything as it should. On paper it has all the flagship goodies but the one big reason why I wanted this phone is it also has a clean display with no notches or holes. It has a pop-up camera and I like this design :)))

Mine lasted for years, it was the best secondary phone that I had when I go out drinking.

When everyone said don't buy a new brand, I bought it. And that was the best decision... Best phone I have ever used. After that I upgraded to Mi9t and now on poco f6

It's not a new brand, Xiaomi was around for years before already

I still have this phone and its still alive! This $300 flagship killer in 2018 still even beating some midrange phones in 2024.

The Poco F1 was actually quite common within South East Asia at the time of release. Sure it wasn't as common as the iPhone and Samsung phones but it definitely wasn't something unusual.

My dad still uses this phone to this day. I've installed a Custom ROM on it and I update it occassionally

I know a person that had an F1.... Because I bought it for him 😂😂 I remember Oppo, Poco and OnePlus rocking up to the western market and releasing *_'flagship killers'_* for a very affordable mid-range price and those devices really shook up the market back then. I myself had an Oppo Find 7A and I had that for 2-3 years before replacing it with a Huawei Mate 9. I picked that up about a year after it had been released and I didnt know it had already been out for a year as I had no idea sites like GSMArena existed back then. I saw the device in white and my heart fell in love with it and it was priced similarly to my Find 7A so I bought it as an upgrade. Its still in service with me today except it exists more as a mini-tablet device to listen to podcasts, watching youtube and some light web surfing while at home around the house. Needless to say the batterylife on it isnt that great anymore.

currently own 3 of these bought 2 used ones ($40 each )and repaired/replace some parts the other one is my personal bought on launch. 1 as a dedicated emulation device modded with 5000mah battery. 1 as a dedicated emergency phone packed with 25000mah battery it is a thicc boi now and cut a hole at the back for the extra 4 batteries and made a custom back for it out of pvc, it can last roughly 48hrs of nonstop youtube. and my personal one is still my daily driver oh and the battery is 5000mah too. i use the bn57 battery model from poco x3 it's tight but it fits. i just reused the battery boards from the original battery of the poco f1 and spot weld it ti the bn57 one

I am still rocking poco f3 for the past 3 years without major issues. Well I do use screen protector and back covers but I do use it to max. Nothing has gave up on me oh only the charging port after 2years.

Using Poco f1 6/128 version as my daily driver now, in January 2025. Im using the stock rom. Everything runs fine. I don't do much gaming. Using LMC8.2 (gcam), I think paired with gcam. It still beats sub 300USD phones easily.

I've used Poco F1 for two years. It never felt outdated to me, even the camera was enough for my needs.
