I bought one of these to use as a backup phone while my oneplus 12 was being repaired and its still fucking incredible. Especially since I got mine for 200 USD open box in pretty much new condition, with the original box and accessories. It's ridiculous how modern this phone still feels. I installed crDroid 14 with microG on it and it was a joy to use for the few weeks where it was my main device. It was still plenty fast enough for daily use (also helped by the fact it's the 12gb RAM version, still flagship ram quantity), the display was incredible of course, and the battery life was insane on crDroid, almost on par with my 12. The cameras were probably what made me miss my 12 the most, but they were still pretty serviceable with gCam. I should also mention the exterior design of the phone is simply beautiful. The 12 in green gets close but still can't match it IMO. Really makes me wish I had one of these back when it was new in 2019, it would've blown my fucking mind coming from my dinky iPhone 8 I had at the time with its tiny 720p LCD and huge bezels

I got a used OnePlus 7 Pro in 2022 and only recently replaced it since the selfie camera stopped working but this is honestly one of it not my favourite phone I've ever used. The fact that notchless displays haven't become a mainstay in smartphones today still baffles me, especially since I've always kind of hated notches and holepunches (although I have gotten used to the one on my Pixel 7). The pop-up selfie camera was also genius and also made for a pretty cool party trick. I still remember my younger cousins and my friends being blown away when showing it to them for the first time. OxygenOS was also really cool too, especially since it offered a level of customisability I'd only really seen on the Pixel Launcher before Android 12. The only real issue I had with it was the lack of a headphone jack but besides that, this phone was basically perfect.

During my 4 years of usage it became obvious that each big Android update from OnePlus was adding bloat and removed features I actually used. The 6T and 7 Pro especially were peak OnePlus phones to me and probably the most fun I've had using a bar type smartphone. It's a shame that the pop up selfie camera feature never made past that time period though as despite the 'risk' of having a motor, it was still a genuine improvement over your typical notch cutout. Also, afaik the OnePlus 7 Pro technically did have an IP rating but it depends on where you got the phone. The international unlocked models had the seals for a proper IP67 water resistance rating even on the moving selfie camera but just never did the third party certification when testing but the T-Mobile variants apparently did have the IP rating.

I still have and use mine from time to time, the Nebula Blue color. This is one phone i can't part ways with, so far ahead of its time.
