I wish the VO2 Intake on my Street 750 was that easy. It wasn't complicated. Just had some Manufacturing Defects if you will. Where they punched the hole for the Intake, The Venturi didn't slide through. Had to use sandpaper to clean the burrs. And the holes for the Mounting Screws, Were a little tight. Screws had to be threaded through. Not pushed. And they forgot to include the black screw for the cover plate. The way they ran the Breather hose through makes me wonder how long until it gets cut through? As they had me slide it through the backing plate. Didn't have any fittings like the factory air box. Might be able to fix it with some brass fittings.

Great video. I'm not really a fan of the breather tubes feeding back into the throttle body that way. I personally think if your taking the time to change things out to go with an external breather but to each his own. Keep up the good work.

If your map is changed with anything besides the screaming eagle tuner and a dealer hooked up Harley’s diagnostic software it will recognize it and void it. The dealership won’t even be able to stop it or have a choice it does it in Harley’s system on its own.

Great videos, I'm getting ready to install a stage one on my 17 SGS, my problem is the dealer said if i don't use the harley tuner it will void my 5 yrs warranty, pro tuner is only set up for windows which i do not own a windows pc only macs. I really want to install the FP3. If something happens to my bike where i need warranty work and i take the stage 1 kit off and reinstall the stock map will the dealer be able to find out the the FP3 was installed? Hey Dude, I installed the SE Stage 1 filter following your video, easy-peasy! Thanks for that. Now, after hooking up my FP3, there isn't a way for me to change my bike's configuration to show the high-flow air filter. I am running the stock pipes now until I decide which to get so it shows my 107, stock pipes & stock air filter. Any ideas? Thx!

Dude, this couldn't have come at a better time. I just ordered the Screamin' Eagle Stage 1 air intake for my '17 Ultra Ltd. The instructions say to remove the gas tank (like you did on your bike) but you guys didn't. Also, the blowback hoses go right into the throttle body & not towards the filter? Maybe I need to watch the video again. Already have the FP3 ready to install. Anyway, thanks as this was perfect timing!

Cool, super glad the video is helpful. Yah, watch video again. We show the hoses going right back into the throttle body: minute 5:20. No, you don't need to remove the tank. Typical Harley using old instructions for new bikes etc.....

With regards to the FP3. Have you any experience transitioning from low to high altitudes? I live in Southern California and ride from sea level to 8,500 feet in elevation. My concern is if I bought a FP3 and auto tuned it at a lower elevation, it would not run right at higher elevations. In other words if I tune my bike at the beach, will it run like doo-doo in the mountains?

Disagree on the need to re-map on stage one. Dyno runs show AFR is still around 14.5-1 after breather and skip ons for M-8 engines after 2020. ECU was upgraded on 2021+ M-8's to allow about 10% internal adjustments.

According to my local dealer you don't need to remap for an air filter (k&n) or slip on mufflers. I ran a k&n and screamin eagle mufflers on my 19 street glide with zero issues. It wasn't until I changed the head pipe that I needed a tune. It is always recommended to tune your bike with any changes. You can always spend the money on the Harley auto tuner and then it will keep it tuned.

@@gregoryevans9674 I know it’s probably too late, but if you have a M8 engine, you don’t have to remap your bike after putting on high flow air intake. M8 engines are not too lean from the factory. It’s a myth they are. Their ECM compensates beautifully for the change. Watch DK Custom video about that. You’ll be positively surprised like I was. Ride safe!

You won't get enough water in there when riding to make a difference. We've ridden in extreme rain and never had a problem.

My 19 roadglide came from another dealer originally nut the dealer I bought it from in N.O. did the stage 1 , command mode and rhinehart exhaust and it only had 20 or so miles.

I bought a used 2015 harley street glide special and I purchased the harley extended warranty would this void that

i called myself and was given a complete answer straight from harley davidson warranty claims today (5/20/20) 1. any tuner OTHER than screaming eagle will 100% void your warranty (they will know because the computer in the bike saves that info forever) 2. any air cleaner OTHER than HD will "more than likely" void your powertrain warranty if you have issues that they can tie to the air cleaner later" 3. slip ons wil NOT void your warranty, *IF* they are 50 state, epa approved in the first place

All filters will spit oil. It's your crank breathers that release into the filter system.

I’ve got a 2019 FLTRU. If I only change the air filter, why does it need remapping? I’m not changing the exhaust.

The stock cap fits great over the filter. The back plate is whats different. Blows oil all over the right side of bags though. Im not happy with it

Question for you Ryan. Looking at some slip ons and I'm getting different answers. Most say just install the slip ons and be done. A few are saying have it tuned. Not doing anything to the air system, just looking for a better sound than stock. What's your opinion? Thanks.

We have discussed this extensively on our website and on our weekly podcast. We strongly suggest that anytime you change anything such as exhaust, yes even just slip ons, that you remap your EFI for optimal performance and fuel economy. With slip ons you are still changing the flow of things. We recommend the V&H Fuelpak 3 and we have a free tutorial video on it to easily get your bike tuned after putting slip ons on your bike. Hey Ryan, I just picked up a 2018 Street Glide Special today. I traded in my 2014 SGS. That Milwaukee 8 motor is a beast! So I guess Harley is voiding warranties and extended warranties on the engine and power train when an aftermarket tuner is used to modify the factory tune? That's disturbing. I've never owned a motor that wasn't finely and professionally tuned.

Once again, another good video, BUT, you again didn't mention a very critical matter, that by installing the stage 1 yourself and/or using the V&H tuner, you just flushed your factory warranty down the toilet. Hence it's a thumbs down from me.
