When I was hiking the Appalachian Trail, I would do the “O Lay” when I would be walking into camp. The first time I did it, my hiking buddy (also a cyclist), who I met on the trail, said, “Hey, that’s very Ryan Van Duzer-like!”

Ryan, YOU ARE among the coolest humanoids I've ever known... and I'm almost 70. (that's a lot of cool candidates) I await every episode with anticipation, and I always feel like I'm riding along with you and your friends in spirit. You are an inspiration, and I know I'm not alone when I say I appreciate your intrepid enthusiasm, your positive attitude, and the kindness you show toward everyone you meet (especially "Mira") Every single episode is a treat. Thank you, and Keep On Trek'in, bro.

I have had so much road magic bike touring. One of my favorite stories is from my cross country ride in 1995. I had a stick get in my derailleur in the middle of Oklahoma and it completely broke. While I was fixing(I was going to ride single speed to the next town) a guy in a pickup truck stopped and asked if I needed some help. We threw my bike in the back of his pickup truck. His family was ranchers and he was on summer break from Oklahoma State and was headed back to Stillwater to celebrate one of his best friends birthdays. We got my to a shop and got a new rear derailleur and he invited me to stay the night and go out to the birthday party. The party was at a huge country music dance bar and never have I had so much fun with the nicest people I had ever met. Even though I looked way out of place in flip flops, long hair and shorts (they were all dressed up in wranglers, cowboy hats and shiny cowboy boots) they couldn’t have been more accepting and interested in my journey. What a great 12 hours that was. Got back on the road the next day and kept trucking.

I will miss Kevin as I continue to miss John and Mira. Ryan and Dana have a ton of positive energy and it served them well in this episode. Dana really hit me in the feels in this video. While I can't know exactly how she feels, I lost my 23 year old son to complications of his kidney disease in February. While it has left a huge hole in my heart, it has been softened by hearing stories from his friends about what a great person he was. As always Ryan, your storytelling and the quality of your videos is excellent. Keep up the great work letting us see all the great places this country has to offer but especially all the great and kind people that inhabit it.

Wow! I just got sucker punched with Dana's Rocky story! My sister passed away this July after losing her battle with breast cancer. Last year she went through all the treatment like a champ and after Christmas she had never been stronger and happier... Then in just a few months it came back and she had no answer to it's strength and speed, but she still kept us all calm and happy while this was going on! What a trooper! I would have loved to do what Dana did, but we were on opposite ends of the world and Covid had other ideas... Keep up the great work Ryan!

You are quite lucky! The white buffalo is sacred or wakhan among the plains indigenous tribes. The White Buffalo Calf Woman brought the sacred rituals to the Lakota Sioux of which the last one is soul keeping. Symbolic of how everything, plants, animals, humans, the four directions, air, water, earth, are all linked inexorably to the “cycle” of life. The lettuce sushi on the other hand...

Thanks Ryan, uplifting as always. Once again the trail provides. I'm so glad you come across all these super cool people and then show them to me. It's something I need. I start to lose faith in humanity. And as you show there is hope for us. By the way I live in Montana and the use of mask are kind of rare, and we are paying for it now. I'm going to miss Kevin but I follow his channel so I will keep up with him. And how cool is Dana, I don't know anyone like her. Thanks again for the brief relief from all that is wrong in this world.

Simply awesome! What a cool experience. I wanted to ride that bike path when we traveled from Vail to Durango on a MTB trip. I am a fan of you as a human sir.

I don't understand how someone can 'dislike' one of your videos. I've mentioned this before. Baffles me. Even more so with Dana. #somePeoplesChildren But I know Ryan will stay positive and on point. Love the videos.
