It's very personal to the band as it's aimed towards the haters which say they're not heavy anymore because their previous two albums were more poppy, electronic and industrial sounding. Sam Carter is a talented vocalist and sounds pissed in this song.

@NXT_LVL not exactly. Every band this good ultimately gets a cult following. And out of those there is always gonna be people bitching about everything that doesn't resemble their favorite song/album. I personally like their last two albums alot. They had to find a new direction after Tom passed. Sam is easily one of the best front men out there.
@leo.di.caprisun11 ай бұрын
this song is basically Sam saying a massive f"k you to the haters that say they weren't heavy enough is their last album. they basically had a list of stuff to tick off that fits the metal core genre: the blegh, lows, 1-0-0 cord, the ding. this song is genius

A little Story Time for you guys about Architects/Seeing Red they lost their Main Lead Guitarist and Songwriter Tom Searle (Brother from Dan Searle/The Drummer) in 2016 due to Cancer. Their Albums "Holy Hell" and "All Our Gods have Abandoned Us" are i think still regarded as on of the best Metalcore Albums and i think you guys even reacted to "Doomsday" were the Main Riff was so often ripped off that i cant even count it. So now to Seeing Red the Song is basically a Big FUCK YOU to the "Fans" which criticized them for the last 2 Albums which were a little more Experimental and more Industrial/POP? so ofc People on the Internet hated them for it writing shit on Forums/Comments even a "Fan" jumped up on Stage in Australia and said through the Mic that they were letting Down their Dead Bandmate/Brother Tom. And while i think its good that this Song gets the recognition it deserves it really puts the Line "Are you a junkie punk medicating for free?" in perspective. I know you guys want to react to Stuff that clicks well but i personally gotta tell you check out the last 2 Albums and "Holy Hell" and "All our Gods..." out some of the Songs on there are just crazy good. If im missing something here take this with a grain of Salt i just wrote all that on the top of my head.
@RevMesmer_VT11 ай бұрын
No, you're pretty much on point with this. To add on, the guy in Australia who jumped on to the stage also said to play an old song to commemorate Tom as they were playing the oldest song on the set. Sam even pointed this out and how the deluded fan also went to scream at Josh Middleton who is now a former member of the band.

You’re sleeping on the album before “All Our Gods”, the album “Lost Forever//Lost Together” is where that sound/vibe started and is considered a part of a kind of loose trilogy with the other two albums you mentioned. Probably my favorite arc of the band although my personal favorite album is “Dayseeker” from them. I enjoyed their last two albums as well, they helped my partner finally get into the band for the first time

I've never criticized the boys from Brighton for having made radio-friendlier music. I want them to be successful. They did a small tour around the Daybreaker or Lost days. Standing in line to get into the show, I learned that I wasn't the only one to have driven over a thousand miles to see the show. They were considering dropping the US altogether because they were losing money on the tours. From what I saw (there were painfully few of us, but it was a love fest), that would have been the right call. Epitath has given them the exposure they needed over here, that exposure came with a cost. They've paid it, and now they can start slamming again. I just found this channel. If you haven't covered their spiritual twin Northlane, I recommend Discoveries, the eponymous track of their debut album. They've covered a lot of ground musically, but that specific song... I'm a little envious of anyone who is hearing it for the first time. The place you end up is NOT AT ALL the place you started. And it's on their debut album: "What's up, b!tches? We're Northlane. Now, watch THIS."

Kyle, you took the words right out of my head "even after you microwave" I was about to literally say that out loud and then you did. hahaha! But on the video note, again guys, a band I've heard in my MiW station on Pandora but never really paid attention to. Like those bands that you like the song and you've heard it before but you can't name the band or song name, like that kind of band. But this song, especially after reading the comments about this being towards the haters, is something that got my attention enough to want to dive deeper. Just like you guys have done with Bad Omens. I spent all day yesterday while doing deliveries for my job, listening to the Death of Peace of Mind album. AMAZING! Back to these guys- YES to the 2000s angry rock because at first I was thinking to myself that I don't really listen to stuff like this, but then I thought back to Papa Roach, Linkin Park, Disturbed, and others, in the early days, and I was like "wait. nevermind. yes I do." So yes, absolutely agree that's the vibe here. Thank you yet again for expanding my music knowledge. Question for you guys- Are all the blind reacts done by the both of you in the metal/rock genre or have I missed hip hop blind reacts by both of you?

@Emanate211 ай бұрын
I would recommend diving into their older stuff since you only reacted to the most recent one. I can't recall if you searched the meaning behind their song Doomsday but Architects have been threw some really deep and tragic shit, so I would recommend taking care of the lyrics like you do with Sleep Token. Different in the subjects for sure ^^, but still really important and worth noticing. Seeing Red for example, is a big "fuck"' to all people who went pretty hard to express how they didn't like the recent change of sound, going from death threats to shitting on Tom Searle's memory. "We only love you when you're seeing red" means that these people only love Architects when they're angry and depressed in their music. "We're like one big family, still thanks so much for the death threats" could be about the Metal, or Architects only, community who pretend to be all about love and respect but once you do something different, you receive some strong shit in the face. Like, do you think you're a good person when you basically wish that someone goes to depression again because if's the only time where he makes good music to your taste ? So yeah, Architects are a band worth the time. Either for the lyrics or for some good music, if not the all in one. Here are some recommandations : These Colours Don't Run, Naysayer, Gravedigger, Broken Cross, C.A.N.C.E.R, Gone With The Wind, Nihilist, A Match Made in Heaven, Memento Mori, Death is not Defeat, Hereafter, Royal Beggars, Holy Hell, Animals, Discourse is Dead, Dead Butterflies, Dying is Absolutely Safe
