Their reaction to Awakening was hilarious too haha! I'm, by far, not the only one suggesting UtA to them, so it's a collective effort! I'm still trying to get them to Epica, Ayreon, more Sabaton, more Nightwish, more Spiritbox, and a good many more! I'm trying!!! UtA is a very technical power metal band. You will find a great variety of sounds across their albums. I recommend pretty much any of their music videos. You can even give a try to their synthwave version of False Walls titled Falsewave, it's awesome. Some might even say it's rice!

A couple older ones of note "General of the Dark Army" "Northwest Passage" This Band is beyond talented.... these suggestions are just for vid content.... there is just as good or even better content filling the rest of the Album they are on.... so far (in my ears anyway) is "The Wind that Shapes the Land" (no vid but man that song is incredible, as it pertains to the story) If you didn't know,, Apex + Abyss are a 2 album story, sorry if you already knew this... anyway Cheers !!! There are people who (jokingly) have suggested that Brit is the reincarnation of Ronnie James Dio with a voice like hers. Or that she would be one of his kids or something. She has THAT sound. I can't completely disagree. Maybe the two singers could be related somehow from way back when. She is Canadian so it is not completely impossible that they share some lineage. So to jump to the newer sound, check out Soulbound off their latest Juno-winning album -Abyss. It's a 10 rice outta 10. They add some synth, improve the mix, and fit in more melody than a warehouse-pack of Rice a Roni.

Their album Abyss is a concept album where the where it tells the story of "The Immortal" who is summoned by an evil witch, each song being the next step in the journey. The whole album is super good and absolutely worth a listen.

Brittney is so incredibly good. Her highs are so clean. She's probably one of the best singers out there. Others have mentioned the go-to songs from their catalog. There is a video of her doing Karaoke singing Queen of the Reich in Edinburgh after a show that will blow you away. If you're interested in hearing more great power/thrash metal, listen to Lovebites, an all-female band from Japan. Their guitar playing exceeds even Grant's. Their song "Set the World on Fire" is a great place to start.

Love it! So, inevitably you will need to get to Nightwish (I didn't see them in your video list. Pardon me if I missed it). Symphonic metal is a whole different animal, and Nightwish brings everything from heavy to ballads. Ghost Love Score is the gateway drug and a rite of passage, but I think you'll enjoy it and then definitely enjoy Romanticide and some of their other music. Cheers!

(Yes, the guitarist in Sabaton) check out his channel, specifically, his cover of Green Day's Basketcase (w a surprise melody mash-up)! ..and wait til you hear his vocal chops! He's also doing 24 days of power metal Christmas songs...that are all just different enough not to be repetitive.
