Lucki has always had a cult fan base and it’s so strange I remember like 4 years ago when I found Lucki fans they were always so attached to him to even now that he’s coming up I wouldn’t even say he’s coming he’s up he’s in such a good position where he keeps going up and he keeps getting more die hard fans

just have an amazing product. carti has his fanbase because his music is one of one literally no one makes music like him, if his music was trash no one cares about the asthetics or stalks him the way they do. If kanye didnt make such good albums no one cares about yeezy brand and rides with him through tough and thin in his controversies. You really have to polarizing tbh... luckis music is something not everyone can get into and thats a good thing because those who like his music really fw him, creating more hardcore listeners. where as someone like lil baby or coi leray they make such generic non polarizing music that everyone who listens to them is a casual listener. Even someone like J col makes polarizing music... some people love and live the lyrical stuff while some people completely hate it with a passion, its all about creating music that people either really hate or really love. Prime example yeezus or wlr or 808s, people hated those albums with a passison because of how different they were but those who loved those prpjects defended it with their hearts n became core fans

It's just the vibe of who's up and established. Rylo and Baby have too much in common to say it's a fanbase thing. Rylo is getting that push Baby had in 17'-18', but once he's "mainstream" he'll go through the same thing Baby is going through.

i listen to artists because they pick good and unique beats. The idea that "i can't get this sound anywhere else" is usually what keeps me around. Of course they have to have a lil bit of talent too, at least enough stay on beat. A unique voice/accent definitely helps.

I think it's because, music is more than just.....rapping and a beat in the background. With most of the rappers who have a fanbase. That's because they make music that can connect to an audience, that isn't just background music. Their music is just derivative, I can find their music everywhere. But you can't find a Lucki, Playboi Carti, Yeat, Kendrick, Frank Ocean and so on. Their music is unique to them. The artists flopping rn it's just cu, they were never truly good artists, no offense.

Main reason why they are really successful is also connections too as most Rylo fans are Lil Baby fans and Lil Baby got a big fanbase and with Lucki GE has been rapping for longer than Coi Leray and Lil Tjay combined, and having a niche cult fanbase Do not forget Von who sold more than Tjay and Coi, almost a much as Lucki and Rylo. His previous sold around 50K with a posthumous release, which could be cheating but he still got a decently size fanbase
